
In this collaboration, Radboud Mens and I explore the tension between stasis and movement. Operating within the realm of drone and electroacoustic music, we construct a sonic landscape where sustained tones and microscopic events constantly shape and reshape each other. What initially appears static reveals itself to be rich with detail: tiny acoustic shifts breathe life into apparent stillness, inviting focused and attentive listening.

The album emerged from a process where sound research, improvisation, and sound design merge. Self-built instruments, the search for timbre and texture, and recordings of the learning process itself form the foundation of these compositions. Rather than following a traditional musical structure, the result is a sonic field in which the minimal continually transforms depending on the listener’s perspective. This is a layered and handcrafted album that doesn’t narrate, but questions. Marking A Boundary With The Turning Point is not a boundary. It’s an invitation to listen differently.

Oakland-based Tape Ghost, aka David Grunzweig, is an architect of emotional spaces. As both an ambient and techno producer, Tape Ghost’s identity is grounded in a complementary duality. Inspired by Detroit masters like Carl Craig, Robert Good, and Plastikman, Tape Ghost was born as a minimal-leaning techno project in 2015 with a focus on live performance. Adept at curating both live sets and DJ sets, his presence has been felt in the Bay-Area, where he’s thrown parties through the collective Asterisk and supported artists like Call Super, Dr. Rubinstein, Dax J, Mike Gervais, dBridge, and m50.

Now it’s the right time to take out your sunnies and pretend it’s almost springtime hearing another awesome b2b mix: This refreshing and sparkling Italian Schaumwein called Spumante is served by Hannovers house elite Felice and Flowo from @Turnland records. The 1.5 hour magnum bottle includes tastes of house, ambient, 80s synths tickling our ears and spreading some acoustic vitamin D - Dolce Vita in wintertime!
Hannover producer and DJ Felice already collaborated with members of the house high society like @JohannesAlbert, @Shan and @TuffCityKids (a.k.a. Gerd Janson and @Lauerofficial). He also produced cool stuff within his side project badnews.
Our recommendation:  try to catch them at an upcoming festival in the nearer future. Or if we could go directly back to @Fuchsbau-Festival for an ice-cold Spumante??!
