He has been an ally since the very beginning spreading the NUMA vibes throughout his many sets and we felt deeply honored when Jon reached out offering to curate and craft a NUMA Medicine Music tribute mix.

APUKUNA reflecting in his own words:

"This magical record label has become an essential 'instrument' and frequency of the soundscapes and journeys that shape the Apukuna sound. This offering is a gift of gratitude for the medicine that is NUMA. In recent years as I've cultivated the Apukuna sound, the more I immersed into the NUMA releases, the more I found myself witnessing and experiencing the essence of NUMA in its entirety - as a tribe of medicine music makers. This is how this journey unfolded - NUMA: as told by Apukuna - is my experience of NUMA as told through 30 tracks released by the label over its many years. Irene Von Dorigotti – La crociera della Tuonante

Irene Von Dorigotti works in writing novels, filmmaking and video art.
Her research areas include sensory perception, time, spirituality, urban anthropology, imaginaries and experimental methods, Radical Aesthetics and Ethnographic Practice.
She was part of the artists' collective of cavallerizza reale in Turin.
Irene is a traveler.
This journey began as a research, an exploration across four continents, the fieldrecording as a practice to connect with the world to represent the other.
Each song is a precise moment, a memory, an instant, traces of moments of happiness and reflection.
Some come from vinyls bought and then lost, others are pieces stolen from playlists of bazaars at the blue mosque, others are from people who knew how to make me feel good.
You have to dive into the water to be light and float to start this journey.

When I thought to record a new set, the name that came to my mind was Pegasus, an immortal winged horse. This image led me to the inspiration and selection of the tracks. 

The meanings of Pegasus include freedom, power, and the eternal spring of imagination and creativity. May you find all of these gifts within you, remember you always had them, and rise up using your invisible wings by listening to this set.
