Radio Guesthouse 01 - Mark Broadbent

The highly respected and much loved doyens of disco Crazy P are curating a brand new series of records for 20/20 Vision, featuring a fine selection of exclusive tracks produced by some of their favourite artists. Although rooted in disco the project showcases the bands wide ranging and eclectic musical world, incorporating; balearic moments, downtempo beats, indie dance and electronica. The music will be spread over four vinyl records featuring bespoke artwork from Bristol based visual artist Victoria Topping, back illustrating for the band after creating several of their classic covers in the early years. The concept of the curation is to bring diverse like-minded artists together and re-invigorate the disco scene in the spirit of unity. 

Volume One features a brand new track from the Crazy P called ‘People (We Can Transform) sitting alongside a selection of disco dubs and stompers courtesy of Ashley Beedle, LA based ASHRR with Felix Dickinson on the remix and U.S funkateers Change Request & Saucy Lady. 

Vinyl will be distributed by Juno with digital released through Republic of Music coming Autumn 2022 with the series culminating in summer 2023.

CRAZYP-C1: Crazy P Curate Volume One

LA based, London found label all my thoughts join forces with FLAU of Tokyo for a collaborative release, featuring FLAU label founder aus, who producers original cut ‘Until Then’, with Seb Wildblood stepping up to remix the track. The release represents an exchange of sounds and perspectives and is the first collaboration of its kind for both labels.

With the cinematic and sparkling new track ‘Until Then’, Japan’s electronic music treasure aus awakens from its long slumber to showcase its unique realm.

The original works from aus arrives as a rich blend of instrumentation coming from a plethora of global influences. Unique vocals partner with deep synth swells and a chugging percussive groove. The vocals — recorded, destructed and re-synthesised — point to his interest in language as the track, tropical and floating as it is dark and distorted, engines forward.

Seb Wildblood follows upping the energy with rolling hi hats and added synth work before sprinkling a dusting of acid as the remix evolves further onto the dance floor.
