Veteran DJ and festival organiser from Cape Town Richard Marshall presents Sub Sahara, his new monthly show on OpenLab ⚡️
In Sub Sahara, https://soundcloud.com/dj-marshall-1 sets out to do the deep dive on the incredible music being made across the African continent, and only from the continent. Set in two parts, the first half will be music curated and introduced by Richard, the second half a guest mix from an artist from Africa with a short interview in the middle.
Volume one focuses on the legacy of the electronic music scene, primarily in South Africa. Songs of historical relevance make up the bulk of the show, with an interview and guest mix from 2Lani The Warrior (https://soundcloud.com/user-51443703) , one of South Africa's busiest DJ's and entrepreneurs and a rare gem of a selector.
