Dekmantel Selectors 2021 was a much needed musical reunion. After the preceding period of stillness, the catharsis and pure joy of finally being together again has been overwhelming. In the words of Fafi Abdel Nour: "At first, I was quite anxious about everything, but having lots of familiar faces around made me feel at ease. It has been a long time since I felt comfortable enough to dance during my own set and it's a feeling that I don't want to let go anymore! Still buzzing from it."

Dekmantel Selectors 2021 was a much needed musical reunion. After the preceding period of stillness, the catharsis and pure joy of finally being together again has been overwhelming. In the words of Skatebård: "I hope this recording can give you an idea of the vibe of the Beach stage at Selectors. And for those who were there, a snapshot of how it was actually like.
For me it felt like a lot of the music I like to play was made for moments like that night right there."

The theme of the first episode of Water Tower Ollie is identity. Born to Dutch and Colombian parents and a lifetime of struggling between those two cultural identities, Ansjowvis dives into the music representing her heritage. The set only consists of producers and labels from Rotterdam and Colombia, creating a raw and more dark sound representing different and deeper parts of Ansjowvis' identity.

Emerging from a hybrid practice rooted in writing and research, justin’s approach to sound moves across emotional and rhythmic terrains into a space where sonic experimentation becomes a way to inhabit new emotional imaginaries. Resisting fixity, their selections open portals into shifting, sensorial states. ​​Squelchy low-end pressure meets crystalline highs; off-kilter, syncopated rhythms melt into softness, silliness, or sudden bliss.
