Vivian Koch (aka Ful Niviak) is the cofounder of Berlin-based HeyNow and one of a raft of new generation musicians to have come of age in a time of such deep self-reflection. Beat-focused sets and more ambient productions are the two sides to Koch’s coin, the latter serving as a means of spiritual healing intended as a gift for the scene she was part of for so long (she started DJing at the age of 16 to be precise). This time, her dialectic sound yields fruit in the form of Bassiani Podcast 145, an atmosphere-heavy and evocative dreamscape, cathartic breakbeat from start to finish.
