This set marked a full-circle moment, childhood friends united behind the decks for their first ever B2B set on New Year's Day. The chemistry was palpable from the fun they were having in the booth, which radiated onto the Colorfloor and had everybody locked in, warping the energy into that special night.

For the August 2025 episode, Relictronica welcomes Banu, a DJ, electronic music producer and sound artist based in Berlin.

Growing up in South Eastern Turkey within the underground rave scene, Banu developed a distinct approach to mixing, shaped by her background in music, sound art installations and research. She specializes in composing with analog synthesizers, versatile and groovy, and uses sound design as a way to blur the boundaries between music and sound art.

Her sets are immersive journeys, filled with deep grooves, textured layers and transitions that carry both political and emotional weight. She believes in the transformative power of music, using it as a tool for empowerment and connection, with a focus on BIPOC and LGBTQI+ communities.

This mix is no exception. It moves between hypnotic rhythm and uncanny sonic detail, a space where the dance floor becomes both a refuge and a statement.

"This set was recorded at dawn on a Sunday morning, closing out a long day of incredibly inspiring music. I hadn’t gone to bed yet and was so locked into the sound that by the time I started playing, I was already deep in a trance. I took over from Formant Value & Simone Bauer’s live set, picking up the momentum where they left off, then gradually brought the BPM down, leaning into psychedelic textures and trance-laced rhythms.

Those two hours flew by - we were all locked in. It’s a rare kind of magic to do what you love in a place like Refractor, where most artists stay for the whole weekend to immerse themselves in the community and support each other. Music has this way of creating deep connections, and you could feel that throughout the festival. We were part of something unique.

And the crowd... what can I say. Even after a full day of dancing, they stayed with me through the entire set, joining me on the sonic journey I was crafting to carry us into the morning."

Swiss-born, London-based artist TSUNIMAN has gracefully imprinted the London scene with their spellbinding selections from the underground, spanning raw trance, spacey techno, tribal rhythms, and progressive delights. TSUNIMAN's sound alchemy merges dark, hypnotic elements with ethereal vibrations, creating otherworldly soundscapes that captivate the senses. A resident at Klub Verboten and a regular at FOLD's UNFOLD party, TSUNIMAN has graced the decks at renowned institutions from Berghain's Säule to Macadam.

"For this mix, my focus was on deep storytelling, crafting a flow build to draw listeners in and keep them drifting from one mood to the next. Ambient intervals have become a source of inspiration lately, shifting the vibe and allowing new energy to emerge. Around the middle of the mix, one of my favorite tracks with an amazing vocal appears. It’s a moment of reset before the pace picks up, steering the mix toward the dancefloor with higher energy and movement."

Raised in a family with a strong clubbing background, music has always been in their DNA. With deep-rooted passion and years of shared knowledge of the scene, they created Dhn as a project to channel their love for sound and connection.

They have recently launched also the new event series with Piuma where they can express themselves and their passion for music.

Deep and consistency are the key words for us to describe their vinyl only journey, shaped by their foundation in the culture.
