o•rbyss aims to help soothe the queer spectrum and focus on the well-being of the community. Queer DJs are invited to submit a mix to showcase an alternative side to their music library outside of a rave and take us on a meditative journey. ✨

Notes on the mix:

"I recorded this mix in the early days of Spring in Berlin. Sunlight poured through my window, dancing off the blossoming branches in the courtyard. Birds were singing, the air was cool and fresh — the kind that makes you want to slow down and breathe a little deeper.
I lit some incense, sifted through my collection, and picked out tracks and records that felt right in the moment. Then I hit play — one take, all heart.
This set is made for quiet moments: lying back at home, wandering through a park, or melting into a post-party cuddle session. Over the past few years, I’ve been diving deeper into the ambient and downtempo side of music, and I’m so excited to keep exploring and sharing this softer, slower space."

Rooted in the queer party scene, 131bpm is a dancefloor troublemaker known for stirring up energy wherever he plays. With a constantly evolving sound, he's carving out a reputation as both DJ and producer, celebrated for his passion for digging and his eclectic love for music. "The night before recording this set, I went to Panorama Bar and heard OK Williams for the first time. I remember feeling deeply inspired, which led me to select records I had either never played before or only one side of. I recorded it at dawn on a winter morning—a soft, hypnotic way to lull myself to sleep. This mix is meant to guide you gently into Morpheus’ arms."

For our first mix of 2025, we are joined by Berlin based, Creole Reunionese DJ/Producer @sxcl ,  highly subversive in their sets from their extensive music knowledge, reflecting their instrumental background and influences  all over. We have a very special mix from them, different from their usual sound that is homage to someone special - their mama.

@source:link is the solo project of Marine (they/them), one-half of the Berlin duo MDSM. Resident at Mess (Berlin), and Club Are (London), they have been refining their sound across Europe’s finest queer dancefloors over the last few years.  Their sound blends slow-building tension and euphoric highs, always navigating through an eclectic range of bpm and genres, seeking to explore the depths of sensuality. 

For this mix, they went back to the glory days of Parisian tech house from the 2010s. A flirtatious selection of slow beats laced with sultry grooves perfect for dim light, bold moves, and nights that blur into mornings.
