Alrighty, for our 11th instalment on Operator radio we share 60min of SARIN's DJ set recorded during our last September event in Brussels - where we brought him back after 8 years of avoiding the chaotic Belgium capital. Bangers only. Beware! With over a dozen 12” releases on various labels (aufnahme + wiedergabe ; BITE, Mechatronic, Pi Electronics, and so on and so on...) as well as on his own X-IMG platform, SARIN stands out as an audio/visual and electronic music performance project that hits the nail on the head. Destructive percussion & cold synths coupled with laser focused sampling and media manipulation form the basis of his signature syncopated and mind altering sound.

La Sanguijuela is an electronic music producer and sound designer from Puerto Rico, based in Chicago.

 Influenced by old school Electronic Body Music and Industrial genres, and the current underground Darkwave and Rave scenes, his music delves into the deepest corners of the mind to create dark atmospheres, intense rhythms, with aggressive and driving bass lines making an obscure blend between EBM, TBM, Dark Electro, and Experimental genres. 

 He got his start making music in the Puerto Rican noise scene, which continues to influence his style. Additionally, he is a drummer in the Puerto Rican post-punk band, Desahuciados, works as a professional live sound engineer and holds a BA from Berklee school of Music.

He objects to the status quo that promotes violence, exploitation, and terror to serve the interests of a few. He has an affinity for DOS-based trackers, obscure EBM vinyl, and the 1995 film Hackers.
