For this month's spiral sonic we've invited Prieste5s: electronic musician, live-coder, and visual artist based in Berlin. In her own productions, Prieste5s fuses versatile influences from across the genre spectrum - bass-heavy sounds, hypnotic techno elements, breakbeats, ambient, and experimental influences characterize her sonic palette. She takes her inspiration from a variety of different sources, and is passionate about experimentation in music and exploring the unexpected crossovers between different genres and different mediums.
Inspired by her fascination of the untouched wilderness, natural history, and geological exploration, Prieste5s’ sound is a synthesis of organic sound design and psychedelic atmospheres. Her music is an expression of the transience of experience, and the ephemerality of the natural world.

DJ and producer for Fictiv Records label, Jugulaire constantly improvises her sets, composing unique soundscapes like one would explore an inner forest: instinctively, without a map, guided by the invisible shapes of the living world. For her, music is a visual and tangible art, a raw material she sculpts live, unprepared, as close to the present moment as possible.

Keen to show that neurodivergence and invisible handicaps rejected by society shouldn’t be a shame but also seen as a gift to be carried and tamed. She turns it into a vital force, a creative engine, what she feels, she transforms it into textures, tensions, vibrations. Her sense of the world is sharp, saturated, full of details others might miss. She plays as she is: with an overflow of intensity, a way of perceiving reality differently, making it audible, visceral, and disorienting.

Raised on dub culture, Jugulaire draws from that heritage the power of collective vibration, and making a lot with a few. She holds onto the importance of the bass that grounds and connects, and the uncompromising freedom of expression. She refuses to conform to musical codes and instead cultivates a singular, non-conformist vision.

Her approach is incantatory, almost ritualistic: she summons organic and insectoid textures, makes telluric bass lines vibrate, and unleashes percussive rhythms that both disturb and ground. She navigates between tempos, intensities, and states, blending sharp hits, rhythmic complexities, and mental dives. Without aiming to please but rather to strike the mind, she turns every set into a space of rupture, a liberation from the cliché of perfection. 



"For this set I was just in the optic of practice for pleasure and testing new sounds and try linking moreother my love for the dub music which is where I come from by my oncle sound system (Dreadlyon Hifi) which is very important to me since I’m young and made me fell in love with music and (dub) meetings. Now I’ve grown and my vision of the world is more complicated and tough. So for the first time I explore a kind of mix of the calm and deep face of dub music and disturbed , organical, broken textures that I basically use to express how my mind would be as a soundscape. Tempos are also slower than every set I made before which gives a dimension more alleviate and tempered but keeping the cathartic incantatory identity."

Yunze Ou is a sonic exploration where nature, textures, and experimentation merge into a profound and hypnotic journey. It's the latest project from a producer who prefers to remain anonymous, but whose productions move between IDM, glitch, and ambient.
With a rhythmic base that converges at low bpms and up to 170 bpm, this project interweaves elements of deep techno, ambient, and drum & bass/halftime, creating immersive and dynamic soundscapes.

“Circuits” is a 4-track journey that weaves together the raw pulse of halftime and drum & bass with the serenity of the natural world. Inspired by rural landscapes, mountain air, and open skies, the EP explores the intersection of organic and digital—where winding forest paths meet lines of code, and birdsong echoes through data streams. Each track channels a different facet of this fusion: from dense, atmospheric textures to precise, tech-driven rhythms. Circuit is both a tribute to the untouched and a meditation on the systems—natural and artificial—that shape our experience.
