This sounds pretty good since I am not comparing to any reference quality (no MT). I know people feel strongly about the right MT-32 sound.  Do you mean controller 0 set to 7Fh in GS mode? That was the only way to get unexpected sounds out of my card. Normal 7F == drums. In GS mode, I get some funny sounds on the sound effects part, gunshot becomes "rain and crystals" and all the basic GM sounds are shuffled. Is that the MT-32 map?
