After some serious studio time, BAD TANGO returns with a fresh 2-track release which takes his sound to a whole new level. The title track INTO THE FRAY is an energetic yet sophisticated affair, with intricate evolving acid leads woven around a driving 16th-note bassline and a bouncy break.

<br>For the second track AT THE EDGE, Bad Tango teams up with friend and guitarist Polymetrics for an altogether mellower excursion. Ambient guitar melodies, lush harmonies and trademark Bad Tango squelch are the order of the day. The kind of tune which conjures up images of sunrise on a beach in Goa.

OPTOBOT - Electric Shocks - SC EDIT

Foremost international techno outlet Drumcode is delighted to announce the release of its next full-length album, ‘Satellite’, by enduring Italian techno talent Sam Paganini.

Though he has been active since the mid nineties, recent years have been hugely successful for Sam, with searing techno EPs coming on revered labels such as Riche Hawtin’s Plus8, Sven Vath’s Cocoon and of course, Adam Beyer’s Drumcode. In his time he has been responsible for underground hits like ‘Zoe’, ‘Polyester’ and ‘Fire In My Arms’, all of which demonstrate his dynamic understanding of sexy, dark and hypnotic techno grooves and at the same time have earned him plenty of great Beatport chart positions as well as respect from the best in the game.

Incredibly, ‘Satellite’ is Sam’s first full-length album. Informed by his DJ gigs at legendary places like Berghain in Berlin and Cielo in New York, the album starts with a dystopian bit of sonic scene setting, as if a space ship is charging up ready to take off.

From there it’s a case of getting straight down to business. ‘Another Chance’ is a spacey bit of cantering techno and ‘White’ is rooted in devastating kick drums and is riddled with serrated synth lines that build lots of great techno pressure. ‘Down’ is an undulating bit of funky techno complete with choice vocal flourishes and tracks like ‘Lotus’ are prime offerings from the deeper end of the scale.

No two tracks sound the same on Satellite: Sam is always teasing out a new bit of texture, nailing a slightly different vibe or exploring different amounts of light and dark throughout the course of this most excellent album. This is evidenced by diverse cuts like ‘Dusty’, ‘Toxic’ and ‘Rave’.

Despite ‘Satellite’ being Sam’s debut album, it showcases his seductive style in all its glory across 12 fantastic tracks that will leave you begging for more.

OPTOBOT is also known as King Karateca and he's the only member of the Luchadores league of extraordinary gentlemen with a background in martial arts. Karateca is considered to be the strongest of the Luchadores league (possibly since the dismissal of Tequila) and regularly questions the decisions of El Gladiator, not so much out of necessity but principle. He has an affinity for plants and in turn only eats meat. DINAMIK is well known as El Powertechnico for his tremendous beatz and Tech pieces that can eliminate every villain while KULMAN is known as Red Demon, he is the most stylish of the bunch and has no trouble picking up women despite always wearing a dorky mask. He claims to have developed a technique that allows him to date three women at once, without making any of them question his fidelity. Has trouble maintaining a relationship over long periods of time.

Elevate is a label run by Techno mainstays Pig&Dan who are an international DJ and production duo, who along with releases on Elevate are a regular feature on labels including Drumcode, Cocoon, Bedrock and Terminal M.

Finishing off 2016 with a look to the future, the label owners have compiled a special 21 track release titled ‘Next Generation’.

Handpicked by Pig&Dan themselves the new Elevate release is very much a family gathering, where Elevate favourites like Mark Reeve, Aitor Ronda, Rob Hes and Carlo Ruetz get to meet and interact with artists like Etai Tarazi, Fideles and Sezer Uysal who are making their debut appearance on the label.

Each of the artists who feature on the release come with a proven musical pedigree with artists like Mark Reeve having recently released on Drumcode, and Sezer Uysal is heavily associated with Suara.

Carlo Ruetz has done a solo release on Richie Hawtin’s iconic label Minus, and Etai Tarazi has put out a number of EP’s on Sian's Octopus Records.

The list of prestigious things achieved by each of the artists on Elevate's forthcoming Next Generation release is endless, and most importantly the music is nothing less than spectacular!

Dancefloor focused with tough grooves and captivating tones, each track is programmed to perfection, and this sampler showcases six of the tracks from the release.

Timmo follows up his debut Drumcode release ‘We Beat On’ with a brand new 4-tracker packed to the rafters with his own unique blend of techno. His productions are getting plays from the likes of Adam Beyer, Joseph Capriati and Richie Hawtin amongst others; 2017 is set to be his biggest year yet. 

Timmo’s unique sound has captured the eyes and ears of many highly revered techno DJs around the world and his ‘System’ release is a stark reminder of exactly why this is. ‘Intensify’ is a big room record that is set to do some real damage on dance floors worldwide. This peak time tool thumps through 7 minutes of power, dragging you in and throwing you out the other side as the track rolls on. 
‘The Maze’ is an example of his excellent production, with his use of synths on a level that some producers take years to hone. ‘System’ is a haunting track, authentic four-to-the-floor techno that screams in to top gear right from the off. The release closes with the more groove and bass line laden ‘Together’. One of those tracks that is guaranteed to get stuck in your head…
