S Ruston is a resident of the notorious femme-forward pleasure activist rave collective, Lecken, as well as a resident of Berlin’s Renate Club. Hailing from the UK, with over 20 years of experience as a DJ and rave maker, their sets serve a shape-shifting mix of bass-informed techno, rave sounds as a call to arms, and a generous serving of dance floor euphoria. As a non-binary queer-feminist rave child, S Ruston’s work is committed to rave as a praxis for deconstructing binary dualities and normativizing hierarchies of all kinds.
