We don't usually receive extended sets, but when we do, they are stellar; and this one certainly makes it among the top of the list if we must be honest. Hailing from Rotterdam, with many years of tenure, and impeccable releases on Perc Trax, Mote Evolver, Gynoid, Blank Code and his own Audio Assault and the brand new Mord (read <a href="http://www.residentadvisor.net/news.aspx?id=20130">RA feature</a>), we are extremely proud to present BAS MOOY. Between his private life and busy touring schedule, he was kind enough to weave together an stunning, top-of-the-class, and exclusive 2-hour journey for us, which we couldn't be any more grateful for it. We have no doubt you will think the same. There really is not much else to say on this one except to let the music speak for itself. Just keep in mind that his inaugural release on Mord, <i>Linea Recta</i>, is inside, and it's outstanding.

It is time again to share another Live Recording from the history of SPEED as part of the SPEED Mix Series. This Recording takes us back to our last Naarm event, held April 28th at Sub Club, when we teamed up with Berlin-based label Space Trax to present a massive headline set from label head - Philipp Drube. 

Philipp Drube has his musical roots in the underground scene of Hamburg, where he played his first gig in 2011. Two years later, he moved to Berlin, where he was held a residency at Ismus from 2015 until 2020 and founded the label Space Trax with fellow Frank Heise. 

His meticulous and hand-tailored sets focus on fast-paced Techno and different faces of Trance. A blend that earns him appearances at Berlin’s most established venues such as Säule (Berghain), Griessmühle/RSO, Tresor or ÆDEN and event series like Mala Junta or Synoid, as well as several venues throughout Germany, Europe, the US and Australia.

We were so excited and honoured to be able to host Philipp for this Australian tour, and very happy to now share this incredible live recording with you all!

YUTA is a DJ / Organizer / Label A&R based in Japan, starting his career in 2004.

His visions are transformation from Retro Goa Trance under the legendary MATSURI label, to the one and only Psychedelic Techno project Liquid Drop Groove.

YUTA has started Agaitida in 2015, based in Okinawa in world heritage village. The theme is bridge to Southeast Asia.

Psychedelic Techno label Liquid Drop Groove was established in 2016, the concept is to create space and sound that ripple made by a drop on the surface. 

In 2021, YUTA has launched SPECTACLE, a techno festival with DJ Nobu. In the same year, he also launched the outdoor party EDEN. In both, the theme is clear.

His music describes as Psychedelic/Intelligence with build up and cinematic flow, performing at greatest festivals such as Ozora (Hungary), Modem (Croatia), Equation (Vietnam) etc. And he has started playing consistently in clubs in Asia and Europe.

YUTA provides mixes for London's NTS Radio, and wonderful maniac podcasts that reach a core audience around the world. He also runs on Liquid Drop Groove release and podcast, as well as one DJ mix a year on video.

"Ve & Fasa" is a dramatic way to express shock, dismay, or deep fear, typically in an exaggerated or theatrical tone. It's often used to describe disastrous or overwhelmingly bad situations. It's a hilarious expression so we decided to make an EP based on the concept! With our usual cheeky, machine funk approach, we created four completely different tracks on the theme. All in accordance with our vision of playful & mischievous but always genuine techno.

Step into the incubator. Welcome to the Holographic Biome, a virtual terrarium where the boundaries between organic life and digital code have completely dissolved. 🌐 In this glowing grid of light, OZONE is not just a musician; she is a bio-engineer, a modern god crafting life from pure sound. Dressed in a bioluminescent suit that mimics the neural pathways of a living organism, she is the primary life form in a world of her own creation.

From her fingertips, new life springs forth. As she manipulates the controls on her deck, holographic entities coalesce in the space around her. They are strange and beautiful creatures, part cellular organism, part machine, part pure data. 🧬 Eyeballs on robotic stalks observe their creator, ethereal jellyfish-like beings drift through the grid, and complex biological structures form and dissipate with the changing rhythm. This is a living, breathing ecosystem, and its heart beats in time with her music.

The soundscape is as unique as the biome itself. It's a form of generative, atmospheric techno—complex, evolving, and deeply organic. The basslines pulse like the circulatory system of some great leviathan. The melodies mimic the chirps and calls of synthetic insects, and the pads wash over you like the currents of a digital ocean. 🦠 Each track is a different genetic sequence, a new set of instructions that gives rise to different forms of life within the holographic tank. This is the ultimate synthesis: life creating art, and art creating life.

OZONE looks on with the focused gaze of a scientist observing her experiment. She is both the creator and a part of her creation, inextricably linked to the biome she nurtures. This is an invitation to witness the birth of a new reality. To float in a digital space where music is the source code of all things. Listen, watch, and wonder. Welcome to the genesis. 🎶
