Luke's 1997 album „Freek Funk“, as well the releases on his own label @mote-evolver have played such an important role in all of our lives and his ability to still deliver at this level after being in the game for so long, is something that inspires us and makes us look up to him 🙏

A Sunday afternoon delight from two of techno's most beloved heavy-hitters arrives exclusively on our Soundcloud.

Berlin techno viking and founder of Dystopian Records Rødhåd and the young, accomplished and Mote-Evolver regular Rene Wise have released their 4 hour set recording from March 2023, a huge B2B session that saw the pair delve in and out of eachother’s company for our last Continuum party. They played an extended set during the final Continuum 24+hour party of the season this Spring. 

The session, which started at 4pm as the tail end of the afternoon drew in and went on til 8pm ahead of a closing set from Ben Klock and Marcel Dettmann, proved to be one of our highlights from the event. It's a real treat to be able to share the full recording; smashers from the get-go that takes us through the hard and heavy, to the atmospheric and energetic.

Lock in below and transport to the incomparable energy of Room 1 on a Sunday afternoon. Sometimes, we reckon, there's no place like it.

As a resident at Tresor and label owner at Unrush, she continues to leave her unmistakable mark as an artist. As a DJ she is chameleon, carefully stitching together immaculate and immersive sounds that will quickly turn any discerning dance floor into a sweaty rave. Lush ambient sets create a balance within Mareena's musical sphere, and one can immediately sense that she feels at home no matter the setting.  However, her career encompasses much more than just DJing. In the last few years, she has also emerged as an adept producer, with releases on Muzan Editions, Tresor, as well her own label, Unrush. These releases display the refinement of her production skills, where her dedication to modular synthesis has transpired into a palpable passion for discovering new sonic pathways. Unrush has grown too. With over 60 mixes and 4 compilations released to date, the series has expanded to include a broad family of artists and shows no signs of slowing down. All of these achievements have established Mareena as a powerful artistic and curatorial voice within the underground electronic music scene.
