Hello it's been a little while : )

We are very excited to present our upcoming release by the inimitable https://soundcloud.com/hvl We have been fans of Gigi since his early releases on Housewax and Rough House Rosie but it was his album "Ostati" on Organic Analogue from 2018 that really blew us away. 

This EP was chosen from an incredible and diverse body of work that was created during the surreal year that was 2020. This type of music transcends, takes hold and transports......please give it your patience and attention.

Timeless cuts to suit all intimate dance floors.

@benkaczor out of Basel, Switzerland is a riveting ambient / techno producer who has his hand in a variety of different projects that have caught my attention over the years. He releases music regularly from a number of these projects as well as other Swiss artists on his own platform KCZ / CZT (benkaczor.bandcamp.com/music). The label showcases a really nice contrast between his ambient releases (CZT) & his techno releases (KCZ) - a lot of which have ended up in a bunch of my mixes & DJ sets over the years. He also has a project called Tarik Hensen (benkaczor.bandcamp.com/album/tarik-hensen-saknar-a-nde-ep) with Swedish producer Martinou which consists of a tough, gritty, moody techno that is a really nice blend of each of their sounds. Ben has such a breadth of music knowledge across the worlds of techno & ambient music - everything he puts out surprises me & I constantly find myself in awe of his releases & mixes. Icelandic producer @jonbjorn is the cofounder of Reykjavík-based record label, @lagaffe-tales. I met Jónbjörn in Berlin a few years back & we've stayed in touch since. He & his label-mate Viktor Birgliss have done an amazing job curating a fantastic catalog of music that to me has always true to the roots of electronic music while also having a uniquely Icelandic tone which is accompanied by Jónbjörn's own, otherworldly artwork designs. Jónbjörn's music to me sounds like the geologic activity in his backyard - techno & electro that is raw & full of tension, crafted for those early morning hours in a sweaty warehouse party or a HÖR livestream. You’ll get the idea rigth away when you hear his latest BROT 4 EP: jonbjorn.bandcamp.com/album/brot-04. His label has releases from him as well as many other artists from Iceland & around the world spanning all the way back to 2012 & you can really hear how their tastes changed & developed over the last 10 years: lagaffetales.bandcamp.com

The next carefully assembled Delsin re-issue EP is four tracks of slick electro from VC-118A aka Samuel van Dijk, who also released on Delta Funktionen's Radio Matrix and the Clone affiliated Frustrated Funk label. This EP was originally released on AC Records in 2015, strictly limited and only sold by the label itself.

All four cuts are electro of the highest order: opener 'Vaxna' is a mid tempo, atmospheric piece that places you in the middle of a desolate futuristic landscape, while 'Sepia' is a more rueful track that encourages your mind to wander amongst its thoughtful pads and sombre chords. It's timeless and tender machine music that’s followed up by 25h, which has an astral feel. Beautifully smeared pads and a nimble bassline cast you free deep in the cosmos. The EP closes in style with 'Versicolor', an emotive electro jam with clever arrangements and immerse sounds.

Once upon a time, two operators stared at their screens. They sat silently for hours, their whole being dedicated to the task they had been assigned to. Days and nights passed in the same monotonous manner.

Suddenly signals showed up on their monitors. Alarms started to ring.

Both reacted at the same speed and did what they were supposed to do. Controls and commands were entered, as was protocol. After observing these waves for 61:01 minutes, everything became quiet again.

What they had just witnessed made them wonder. For the first time they addressed each other. "The data is transferring through our system," announced the first. “Let us both check how this can be interpreted.” The second validated the response. Together, they looked at what had been recorded. Ideas raced through their complicated minds until they realized simultaneously: sounds! They listened.

“Is this an unknown language?” one asked
“This is the first time this has been heard throughout our history,” the other answered.
They listened again and again.
“This electricity has been arranged to form a cohesive entity,” the first said.
“Why would machines be used to create that?” the second mused.
Something had awakened inside of them, an obsessive curiosity they had never experienced before. They did not understand and were blown away by the beauty of it.
“Do you think it could have been left by humans before us?” one whispered.
“If it was, these would be Major Signals,” the other concluded.
As they processed these thoughts, the two artificial intelligences sat still.

Irakli was born in Georgia when the country was still a part of the Soviet Union. He moved to Cologne before ending up in Berlin a decade ago and has been an active and interesting voice in the electronic music and club landscape of the city. First as a DJ and producer behind the I/Y and Intergalactic Research Institute For Sound labels, but also as one of the minds behind the STAUB collective. His artistic endeavors have brought him to contribute to books, exhibitions and movies. He has performed with classical orchestras and worked with artists and thinkers from all fields. He hasn’t been afraid to take a stance politically - in 2019 he collaborated with fellow Georgian producer Michailo whilst he was imprisoned. But most importantly, he loves the music, making it, sharing it, listening to it, dancing to it, and now he is presenting us with his first album on Dial.
