We decided to make something special again and, as a result, prepared our first mixtape. 
‘The lights of outskirts’ is a set of archive recordings that we like as much as our main releases. However, those recordings are somewhat different from what we usually release. 

The mixtape includes unreleased and raw recordings from the Ored Recordings Archive: some excerpts of interviews and occasional conversations, music improvisation of our contemporaries, the ethnographic recordings of the past century. Generally speaking, the mixtape is an attempt to provide a retrospective view on the work of former storytellers as well as young contemporary folk singers. We tried to make not just a playlist but the fabric that reflects our view on ethno;  in other words, our philosophy with which we approach the craft of field recording.

Considering the fact that the first release contains only our own native Circassian and Abkhaz music, one can assume that the mixtape has turned out to be something very personal.
