Since 2016 Radio Hobo's vinyl sets are mainly packed with tropical sounds from the 60s-80s and have brought him from Bruxelles to Rotterdam, Cape Verde to Mali.

He played for radio stations all over the world (Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide FM, Bruxelles’ Kiosk Radio, Istanbul’s Year Zero, Palestine’s Radio AlHara or UK’s 1BTN Radio, to name a few) and Gigs at Berlin Venues such as YAAM, Bartausend, Monarch, Klunkerkranich or Acud. Cumbia, Salsa, Compas, Beguine, Afrofunk, Afrodisco, Highlife, Semba, Samba, Bossa – where he plays there is: Tropical Heat Guaranteed!

Ich bereite gerne ein Set oder einen Podcast vor, indem ich von einem Gefühl ausgehe. Dann schaue ich mir Soundcloud und Youtube an. Die Clubs in Leipzig oder Berlin sind großartige Quellen, um mich zu inspirieren.

//Was muss sich deiner Meinung nach an der Szene ändern?//
Auch wenn sich die Linien bewegen, fehlt es immer noch an Auftritten von FLINTA*, POC und Menschen mit Behinderungen.

This month's journey is produced by Zoukaï (@zoukai-212). It's a soothing cocktail with layers of ambient techno; dark, intriguing sounds with glitters of galactic trance. Every now and then you will find yourself with an inexplicable sense of tension, a deep unknown, but somehow still familiar presence lurking on the edge of the tracks. Thick bubbling and whirling, the noise the creatures of the night create as they are leaving their lairs. You await with a morbid curiosity. The release comes in interludes of misty, landscape forming ambience which creates a stark contrast in the listening experience. You know this feeling, after a long festive night of dancing you await the dawn, sitting on the hillside, with the same sense of ease. Enjoy!

Kleine Pía is the alias of Pía Sotomayor, who debuted in 2003 under the alias of DJ Ruina. With a style that crosses without prejudice between Techno, Electro, House, Breakbeats and Experimental - Contemporary Club, she has had the opportunity to present herself on many radios, clubs, parties and festivals in Chile and the world. For some years now she has been experimenting with machines, editing singles for various labels such as Panal and Halcxn. In November 2022, she released her first EP Multi Level Void on the Chilean-Mexican label Filiae, an EP of 6 tracks, three originals and three remixes, by Valesuchi, Tomás Urquieta and Ron Morelli, mastered by AtomTM.
