“Years From Now” is a hauntingly beautiful tune from Modl. Silky vocals float along bright piano, punctuated by waves of guitar plucks. The chorus takes one by surprise; yet the synth risers also makes one feel centred, or at home somehow. Modl’s downtempo arrangement is done expertly - keeping in mind emotion, meter, and rhythm - and gives goosebumps to anyone who listens.
