Renowned German DJ and producer Boris Brejcha has joined forces with long-term collaborator Ginger on new single ‘Spicy’, out 2nd April via Ultra.
A melodic techno track that’s fizzing with refined dancefloor energy, ‘Spicy’ combines driving snares, delicate piano chords and Ginger’s fleeting vocals as it gracefully builds in intensity throughout. The track marks the first in a line of singles planned throughout the rest of 2021, culminating in the release of Boris Brejcha’s new album in November.

New installment in our digital series, this time delivered by portuguese sound sculptor Temudo with five cuts of advanced and funked techno.

Zoom back starts with phased toms over a continuous  sub bass line, until shuffled shakers and subtle synth elements grow from the low part of the spectrum. The random sequence takes over as minutes go by creating an asymmetrical feeling.

Tsigalko uses opaque metallic hits and again a heavy sub bass component as starting point. Different sonic elements fill the audio spectrum coming in and out of the arrangement wisely.

The Spiritual Song goes straight to the bone with spastik lika snare rolls running over a solid kick and bass foundation. The percussive orgy goes on and on until total mayhem.

Cranston uses more floaty elements and reverberated spaces to create a sci fi feeling. The sequences run through the stereo field adding dynamism and detail.

Duality closes the release with diverse drum layers skillfully programmed creating a sense of movement while being linear. As track 03, 90% of the sound elements are percussive making a perfect mixing tool for those who know.

We have the great Evil Activities up behind the wheels of steel who will showcase their vision of hardcore with a diverse and energetic set that also features their new track "Shadows" together with Korsakoff, which was recently released on our 'Insurrection' album. Filth on Acid label head Reinier Zonneveld and hero of the underground has linked up with mainstay DJ/producer Oliver Heldens, more specifically his legendary underground alias HI-LO to explore a darker techno sound. The first fruit of their multiple studio sessions in Amsterdam is the new single 'Saw of Olympus’.

"Over the last few years I’ve become a big fan of Reinier’s productions, his style and his label Filth on Acid, so a few months ago I sent him a couple of new HI-LO ideas that I was working on and he was really into them, so he invited me to his studio to work on some of these together. In the studio we were a really good match, it was very inspiring for the both of us, and I definitely learned a lot from him. We ended up doing multiple studio sessions and we are working on a few different tracks together now which I’m really excited about!
This new track ‘Saw of Olympus’ is the first one that we finished. We called it ‘Saw of Olympus’, because the track has a very distinctive Saw synth, a real “Saw of the Gods”, continuing the Greek god theme of my latest HI-LO releases Athena, Kronos, Zeus and Poseidon. “Since the whole scene is in lockdown and sitting at home, everybody has more time on hand to work on new things. For me this is a great way to explore new collabs that might not be the most obvious ones. Oliver Heldens has been sending me some of his techno works for over a year already - under his alias HI-LO. I really liked what I heard and invited him over to my studio. Turns out he is a great producer and a very fun guy to work with, and we ended up doing regularly very inspiring and productive sessions which resulted in a whole bunch of new tracks that we’re both very happy with! One of these tracks is Saw of Olympus, and i’m really happy to share it with you on my label Filth on Acid NOW!” - Renier Zonneveld
 
Oliver’s HI-LO alias is reserved for his deepest and darkest records, which have taken the techno scene by storm in recent months. Having released a series of tunes inspired by the Greek Gods, which garnered support from the likes of Enrico Sangiuliano, UMEK, Amelie Lens, Deadmau5 and Above & Beyond amongst others, two of the songs “Zeus” & “Kronos”, landed in the top 10 of the most supported Techno tracks on 1001tracklists in 2020, which was a contributing factor to Oliver being awarded the coveted spot as the #1 most supported artist platform wide. Also in 2020, Oliver landed in the DJ Mag Top 10 for the third year in a row whilst remaining in the Top-450 most-streamed artists in the world, on Spotify!
 
Techno giant, Reinier Zonneveld is known for his unique live sets, highly respected for his marathon sets. His own imprint Filth On Acid is one of the best-selling and most supported labels in the electronic scene with releases of Carl Cox and many more, the label is claiming the number one spot on and off as the leading techno label on Beatport. One of the best-selling techno producers of the moment, Reinier Zonneveld has taken over the contemporary scene with his unique view on techno. Highly respected for his powerful live performances at key festivals and sold-out clubs on all continents, his vibrant sound is winning him fans far and wide. Cisco Ferreira’s seminal techno act The Advent returns to Ben Klock’s imprint in September with three distinctly turbo-charged cuts, following his release on the label’s 22nd instalment in 2018.

A pioneer of early British techno, the London-based producer began his career in the halls of the legendary Jack Trax label as a sound engineer, going on to produce cutting edge releases on imprints R&S, Tresor and Transmat. This latest Klockworks release relinquishes the sparse energy of The Advent’s live sets from the 90’s with these previously unreleased timeless live recordings. Favouring off-kilter percussion and warbled bass, all three strike hard with a distorted and visceral energy.

Oscar Mulero's DJ career has been as prolific and long lasting as the evolution of dance music. As a key figure in its development, Oscar has always absorbed new trends and kept his finger on the pulse of electronic dance music, from the end of the 80’s right up to the present day. It is impossible to understand his genius without taking into account the tireless work he has carried out behind the decks for over two decades. Production-wise he's been releasing records since the late 90’s, with countless 12" vinyls and several studio albums, as well as many remixes for the best players in the scene.

He runs Warm Up, his very own imprint, since 2000 as well as the label PoleGroup Records since 2004, both of which have reached the 50 releases mark. On 2013 he started a series of live A/V performances under several project names like Light and Dark, Biolive and Monochrome AV.

In 2019 he will celebrate his thirty-year career with a very special secret lineup party in Madrid that will be much talked about because of its concept and the quality of the guests.
