Born in Valencia Spain, Ruben Boluda has been active in the underground techno scene for more than two decades, since the end of the 90s. He started his career as a trash-metal guitarist and was seduced by the underground electronic music in 1998, when he became Dj Boluda. He continued his musical project by creating his own collectives (Educative Sounds and Pi) organizing quality underground events, parties and raves all over the Region of Valencia. Meanwhile, he also alternated his work as a Dj and an event producer with his job at vinyl record stores like 3mv-disc unit or Subway. Dj Boluda quickly turned into a key figure in the Valencia scene, performing regularly at different parties and becoming a Dj resident in some famous clubs in Valencia city. He has been fortunate to share the decks with many talented and internationally recognised DJs and producers like Paco Osuna, Nacho Marco, Circulation, Paul Ingall, Pascal Kleiman, Ángel Molina, Estrato Aurora or Fran Campos among others. Drinking from the fountain of funk and soul, and having absorbed the teachings from the classics, Chicago House and Detroit Techno, he has cultivated his own personal and unique electronic dance music style. His music invites you to travel through a combination of deep house, minimal and tech-house, the styles that he liked the most. Nowadays, after a 5-year break, his time has come. He is back with renewed energy, and ready to explore new paths in the deepest and most mental underground electronic music. Music goes on!

The Name of Things,
The act of naming natural elements and human creations through music allows us to go beyond words and return to sensations, pulsations, undulations. This album proposes a rhythmic journey that offers a new look, a new listening on the things of life. The arrangement of the tracks reminds us of a parable: an aerial entrance and exit, and at the depth of its curve percussions give resonance to a primary, primitive relationship to the earth. The three interpretations prolong the sound designations. Adhemar's musical language captures the deep and poetic song of nature and the city, of the inhabitants and the living.

Codeword welcomes @o-utlier, Irish native and London-based producer, DJ and soon-to-be label owner. o.utlier’s music traverses ambient and rooted 4x4 techno, resulting in a dream-like atmosphere of journeying and transcendence. 

With releases on labels including Efdemin’s Naïf, Fred P’s Boards and Appian Sounds, o.utlier  is navigating the plains of electronic music with originality and quality. 

The Astral Industries resident is set to return to the DJ booth this August at Iklectic in London and Ufonic Festival in Italy, as well as launching his own label alongside Hems later in 2021 focusing on drone, live recordings and spatial sound.

I'm thrilled to welcome Milo Bragg to the series, expert curator and founder of the Future Primitive label and Club Rooted mix series. We connected over a shared love of music occupying the space between genres and adjacent to the dance floor, and of tracing the paths these sounds have taken over the years. True to form, Milo's contribution is a lesson in atmospheric refinement, a spacious selection taking its cues from far corners and uncommon hours, at times paring to a single thread yet holding taut until its final note. It's a pleasure to share this one, elegant and elusive all at once. Thanks Milo!

Jacob Long has been crafting Earthen Sea material since the early 2000s. He gradually graduated from limited-edition cassettes to releases on Ital's Lover's Rock and Nicolas Jaar's Other People imprints, before linking up with the evergreen label Kranky in 2017. His third album for Kranky, Ghost Poems, comes out next week. We celebrate with an hour of music built as spring emerges around him in Brooklyn, full of contrasts between light and decay.

Aiôn Lazura has been a musical explorer for many years, thanks to this deep exploration he has managed to discover and define his own identity and style which is largely focused on the appreciation he has for the Ambient music and the Dub Techno sound.

Aiôn produces songs without any intention or objective, but as a way of expressing himself in general. His inspiration is subconscious, he enjoys imagining Science-Fiction scenarios and anticipation with a utopian sense.

This is LP called Light Collision is his debut, a concept album characterized by calm and warm themes moving towards more and more experimental themes with somber but deep touches. Is an eclectic album full of emotions, sonorities described as complex, strong bass lines and subsonic frequencies.

The seven songs are an invitation to travel in the imagination of each listener with their own interpretation.
