Welcome on board ! Today, we share with you the 67th episode of the Stellar Series which was recorded by Daar. 

After almost a decade immersed in a project focused on the dance floor, Álvaro Aragonés moved to Berlin in 2015 where he began a new career, relaxed in bpms, where eclecticism and avant-garde prevail, being in October 2016 when he self-releases his debut album “A Place To Be”. Once the project took shape, Daar released some work on Sofa Tunes (SP) and Loki Recordings (UK). Finally, 2019 was the year of the project confirmation thanks to an artistic residency at Konvent (Barcelona, SP), working and creating his first A/V live: BORDERS, a project which was born from the homonymous EP released in 12" by F&S Records (SP). Almost an hour of audiovisual immersion through the main border conflicts that plague us in our daily lives. The label's release 004 sold more than 50% of its copies in pre-order and the show was presented in cities as Barcelona, Madrid or Berlin.

2020 pointed out as the year of the artist's return to more danceable influences but due to the months lived, the result was a studio album that was released last March 2021 by the reputed and prestigious Silent Season (@silent-season) label (Canada). "Entire" is a conjunction of ambient textures and field recordings based on recent experiences of the Spanish producer. In 2021 Daar was focused on some audiovisual projects as well as exploiting his artistic facet in as many places as possible. 2022 is coming up, with a lot of new vibes and releases ahead!

This is the album debut of this new artistic project wich is linked to this alias corresponds to a form of deep and organic techno music, based on Ostinato percussion and other bass. The whole EP tends towards slow progressive movements, bringing a certain energy and trance at the same time

As its name suggests, "Closest Friend EP" is about close friends, with these relationships, different and parallel at the same time, like the styles of the songs.
A very special dedication to his Argentinian friend the artist Mau D, , who unknowingly helped him to refocus on the essential, this techno music, ultra loopy, polished and abrupt, mental and dancing.

The 5 pieces are oneshot live recordings, played over and over again, like during a live act to find a certain alchemy.

“Influenced by the duality between nature and urban frames and by its transposition to music, I want to purpose through my gigs and releases an unexpected experience to listeners. Over the course of my journeys and long stays abroad, I sculpted little by little my sound and a way to interpret my surroundings artistically.

Balanced between sound design and narrative composition, I'm focused on the strong link between space and music and put effort during lives on creating a surrealistic and intense atmosphere for the listener. ITAE records, a label I recently created with @geinst is the place dedicated to develop our vision and intuition of music.

 This live recording is a mix of improvisations and fragments from my last compositions.”
