For us, some of the most profound mixes are those that begin with the gentle intoxication of ambient, taking you by the hand and guiding you slowly but surely into deeper realms of electronic music - a steady, heady, intoxicating dance in which you surrender yourself fully.

S Gytis, the artist behind podcast 116, has devoted himself to the art of crafting journeys just like this, uniting modern classic, ambient and deep techno, always with a strong emotional lead, to entice the listener and ensure our attention never sways. His sets have provided the perfect listening experience for festival goers at the likes of Lithuania’s Supynes Festival and Yaga Festival, with local nature in all its perfection being the idyllic setting for music which makes us feel like we’re being guided back to the source of it all.

S Gytis is also the co-founder of Ramu Records, a label and event series focusing on “quality music, freedom of expression, equality, love of nature and all the living beings” - also the lucky home to his debut vinyl release, Takeliu. 

This mix was recorded at a Black Wave event in Lithuania’s beloved Kablys Club. How we wish we’d been there!

Save Your Atoll is a young project born in 2019 founded by Italian artist Antonello Meloni.
His music reflects Techno and Deep Techno sounds characterized by hypnotic elements and soundscapes.
Previously his path starts in 2012 with Spacedrome, a roman collective he created with some friends focused on exploring sound like Dubstep, Garage and some deep nuances.
He has performed in many Italian clubs, several international festivals such as Freqs Of Nature (DE) or Outlook Festival (CRO) as well as some important Berlin clubs such as Hoppettosse, Acud Macht Neu, Mensch Meyer among others.
He has also published several Ep. released on underground labels such as Elastica Records, Deep Electronics, Whoyostro, Spclnch, Abyssal Audio.
For 2020 is planned the release of the debut album of this new project.

Save Your Atoll 은 이탈리아 아티스트 Antonello Meloni 에 의해 2019년 탄생한 신생 프로젝트이다. 그의 음악은 최면적 요소들과 사운드스케이프에 의해 정립된  테크노와 딥 테크노를 반영한다. 그의 여정은 2012년 그가 몇몇 친구들과 함께 조직한, 덥스텝과 개러지 그리고 여타의 깊은 뉘앙스 같은 사운드를 탐구하는 로마의 콜렉티브 Spacedrome 과 함께 시작되었다.
그는 여러 이탈리아 클럽들과 Freqs Of Nature, Outlook Festival 등의 국제적 페스티벌뿐만 아니라  Hoppettosse, Acud Macht Neu, Mensch Meyer 등의 클럽에서 공연해했다. 또한 Elastica Records, Deep Electronics, Whoyostro, Spclnch, Abyssal Audio 등의 여러 인디 레이블에서 EP 를 발매했다.
2020년, 그는 이 새로운 프로젝트의 데뷔 앨범을 기획하고 있다.

For the 31st episode of our podcast series, we are happy to feature our Paris-based resident duo: Elek Ember.

This modular/analog gear live act experiments between drone ambient, deep techno and experimental sounds. They created a special journey between cosmic sounds and dark vibes - enjoy!

ELEK EMBER is a Techno Experimental duo based in Paris, composed of Emilie Zawadzki and Sigolène Valax. Through their live A/V performance, their musical approach develops an immersive polyphonic experience, between an energetic musical journey and some hypnotic glitchy visual projections.

By improvising experimental materials on their analog instruments, drum machines and modular systems, they explore different sound universes between drone oscillations, abstract noise, synth pads and techno rhythms. With their electronic beats and organic pulses, they create a suspended irrational space, where melodies and dissonant frequencies are organized in temporal micro layers.

Since their creation in 2017, ELEK EMBER has performed in Berlin at Griessmuehle, in London at the New River Studio, and in Paris at La Station Gare des Mines, La Maison des Métallos, Les Instants Chavirés, as well as at the French research center for acoustics sounds IRCAM, at the Sonic Drawing Festival and Nuit Blanche 2020.
They are currently in residency at Mains d’Oeuvres (Paris) for one year (20/21) for working on the project Forest Lab 360°.
