Danza Native owner Forest on Stasys brings his signature sound to the very first Mirror Tapes Worldwide. The organic approach of the Argetinean producer complements the ethereal character of the fresh Mirror Tapes label perfectly. ‘Kabata’ captures what we expected from the Buenos Aires based producer and brings some real dancefloor-exotica to this first Worldwide VA record. 

Mirror Tapes is a Melbourne/Naarm based label, founded by the talented producer Adam McCoy aka ‘Citizen Maze’. The label focuses on electronic music that captures the ambience and immersion of the world around us. Adam has been on our radar for quite some time now due to his extraordinary approach within his live sets, creating real sonic journeys. Happy to see his vision expand into this newborn label.

We are delighted to have this talented Spanish producer on our platform: @javiermarimon. Well known for multiple releases on @oslated, @secuencias_temporales, or more recently on @huinalidub, he has also launched his first label @offtvisuals and released several EPs with JFR project (with @romi808 and @f-ondj).
The music from Javier Marimon is a blend of ambient, minimalistic textures and  dub patterns, with a strong attachment to focus on each detail, creating ethereal textures and complete immersion. We had the chance to hear his 3h-long live performance during La Vallée Electrique 2022 organised by @melifera_records and we felt completely suspended to this intense moment.
For this episode, he prepared a live jam full of new materials and inspiration from where he lives now, in Thaïland. His contribution is named “low tide estuary” as it was recorded just where the river and the sea cohabit near to his house. 

"This recording is a live jam over the projects and ideas that i went through this last Tiger year and the deep exploration of a new synthesizer at home. 
It's an abstract summary with the sounds i made but compiled and performed on other side of the world, with the necessary perspective and inputs I missed so much. 
Now, heavily into the lunar new year and with the intense angle that distance and limited setup gives you I'm happy to have wrapped up everything with this collection of new tracks influenced and inspired by the low tides in the estuary of Ribadeo, the end of the river that feeds our home and runs down there, entering on the sea, but rearranged and morphed because of the big city roaring around us again.

An estuary is the zone where freshwater mixes with marine water, forming at the mouth of a river when it flows into the sea. Subject to the influence of the river on the one hand and the tide on the other, estuaries have very variable morphological and hydrological characteristics depending on the dominance of one or the other of these natural forcings.

Estuaries are the only ecosystem where the altimetric change in the twice-daily water line varies in time and space, along with salinity and turbidity. Marine species, freshwater species, and species endemic to estuaries are found here. When pollution and overfishing do not overexploit it, the biomass produced is exceptionally high, especially in temperate zones (in Europe in particular). 
Estuaries are also considered as environmentally naturally stressed areas. Indeed, they have a high degree of variability in their physico-chemical composition. Still, their biota is naturally conceived to deal with that stress : this ability to absorb stress without secondary effect is named and categorized as Environmental Homeostasis.

Toner was first introduced to underground music while studying abroad in Taiwan, where he was awakened by modern techno.

After returning to Japan, he became captivated by Tokyo’s club and rave scene, and naturally progressed to become involved with numerous events as both a supporter and music journalist.

Together with Toss and Kaana, he now runs "LIMINAL DREAMS”. A community of enthusiasts, deeply focused on electronic, ambient and experimental music. "LIMINAL DREAMS" pays homage to the psychedelic chill-out culture that has been prevalent since the 60’s.

“Recently, I had the opportunity to be surrounded by the beautiful port city of Keelung, Taiwan. It was a very calming and tranquil experience.

During this time, I reflected on a variety of musical experiences in recent years, to explore various sounds for this mix. I wanted to capture the beauty and tranquility of an outdoor music festival and combine it with the beauty of an intimate smoky venue.

I often find beauty in the ephemeral and feel a strong connection between music and the natural world. I hope you can enjoy this mix as a session that transcends time and space between great musicians.

Soft and delicate, the sunlight redraws the edges and gives the clouds colors of different shades, accompanying them on their aimless journey dragged by the wind, until evening when a gray veil covers the wanderers of the sky.
