An artist who the pessimistic often find themselves being optimistic about when discussing, Christopher Lowe “Chris Lowe” is an artist to have on the radar. Born in Augusta, GA, raised in Tallahassee, FL and Montgomery, AL, Chris Lowe has been honing his skills for over 14 years now. Once a mentor, roommate, and brother to the late great Doe B.; Chris Lowe hopes to be the ne plus ultra of music one day along with other artist that hailed from the southern region of the US. His music can be seen as syncretic, brought about by forms of beliefs and cultures that are deemed to be disparate but with the same message. He is ready to welcome that same exposure and more that The Dirty Boyz, WatchTheDuck, Nat King Cole, Clarence Carter, Eddie Floyd, and other Montgomery natives had the opportunity to experience. Lowe prays that he can pick up where Doe B left off and carry the city the rest of the way.  R.I.P. Doe B.

During Christmas one year on a low income, his mom was not able to afford many gifts so she was given a boom box and she gave it to Chris. She told him that because of his bad behavior, that’s all that he worked up for. Not knowing any better, Lowe accepted it and made it his duty to utilize it as much as possible. With a recorder implemented shortly afterwards, the rest is history. At the age of 10 while in Atlanta, GA for a stint, attending Oliver Elementary School, his Physical Education Coach spotted his ability to create music and assisted him and four of his closest friends with their first show. Chris Lowe then moved to Montgomery, AL and was soon introduced to a group of guys that shared a common interest that he had in music. They went on to form a group called “The Squad” which went on to sign to the former NFL Athlete; Fred Beasley’s imprint 40 Acres Entertainment. That particular deal and place in life turned out to be an eye awakening, learning experience for Chris Lowe.  Chris went on to form another group called “Hard Headz” before completely going in his own direction. From a young age, Lowe has been struggling to survive but has been a God fearing man. While bouncing from couch to couch, the streets, or cars to rest his head, he knew whom to call on. In 2004, he was booked on some charges that could have ended his music career and his life as a noninstitutionalized man. Going before the judge, God spared him by allowing the judge to only give him probation on the contingency that he stayed out of trouble and kept doing his music. Around 2009, Lowe became ill due to throat complications. After having surgery, his vocals changed tremendously leaving him with a raspy sound. Although Lowe disliked his new sound at first, he quickly realized that the surgery open a passage to the abyss, for where he holds the pain in his life and the streets, to escape. 

Since dropping a few big songs and taking the city of Montgomery by surprise, Chris Lowe has been going strong every since.  He has opened up for acts such as Young Jeezy, Lil Boosie, B.O.B., Blood Raw, 8 Ball & MJG, and Goodie Mob. Chris Lowe is currently working on music and is looking to release new material under his newly formed label Still Trapped Entertainment. His team is currently preparing the release of his music, networking, putting together a promo tour, and finding other opportunities to expand the business and career of Lowe and his label.  They are in the postproduction stages of his mixtape JUICE and is currently working on a release date.

While his career is building, Lowe is looking to start up and work with some non-profit organizations. One of the organizations that Lowe is so passionate to work with is a Boys and Girls Club in Montgomery, AL. He believes in blessings those from blessings he has received and he encourages his team to do so. Lowe also hopes to tap into other genres to expand Hip-Hop even further and also tap into other media outlets and entertainment ventures in the future.
