Growing up inspired by the raw energy of underground parties, she was drawn to the unspoken connections that music creates from an early age on. From throwing her own parties with friends in her small hometown to spending countless nights on dancefloors, LENI has always been deeply connected to the pulse of the electronic scene.
In 2019, LENI's path led her to Leipzig, where she became an integral part of ost:end - a now emerging club project that is more than just a venue. Rooted in a shared vision of music and culture, it brings together artists, cultural workers and Dus who are shaping new spaces for creative exchange in all types of forms.

Wer kennts nicht? Man steht aufm Schlossberg, schaut Richtung Süden auf Freiburg und auf einmal sieht man einen bekifften Elefanten neben einem Balkon und fragt sich nur: Was für Hänger wohnen da eigentlich?
Auf jeden Fall welche, die wissen, wie man gebührend den Sommer verabschiedet.

Aufgenommen auf dem wohl mysteriösesten Balkon Freiburgs. Zumindest die erste Hälfte.
Ein paar Haspler sind drin, aber das macht es ja erst so richtig authentisch =)

Shadow Road by The Thrill Project

This is our first recorded podcast so we're really excited to share this set with everyone. We wanted to stay true to our sound, so the composition keeps up with our traditional B2B2B2B style. We focused on unblemished, cohesive mixing throughout and wanted to make sure the set would transcend listeners like they were at one of our events. Lots of deep and groovy tracks right in time for the new year...we really hope you enjoy listening.

Spanish for Brigade, meaning unit or squad; a group of individuals organized for a particular purpose.

Rooted in friendship, Brigada is a Toronto based collective imposing a fresh take on programming and events. The spark for the group came in 2016 with their signature bonfire parties, which have helped fuel a prominent blaze in the group's outlook. The event series is the highlight of the Summer for Brigada and has been making waves in Toronto’s underground music scene with its off-the-grid perspective and community driven vibe. Never publicized, these pop up parties attract hundreds of fans that venture outside the downtown core to celebrate in the ritual that originally started as a small gathering between friends. Maturity of Brigada’s sound is the foundation of their dope parties. Funky deep tech grooves is the focal point of their music, intrinsically raw, upbeat and progressively charged to go all night.

Brigada’s unique composition and track record is definitely making a mark with new projects and collaborations lined up for the new year. Inspired by Brigada’s late nights and early mornings, the group recently launched 4AM in Toronto, a new podcast series that transcends listeners into an upbeat journey through deep tech. When they’re not by a fire, Brigada holds a residency at Parlour, Toronto’s premium deep house venue. The group was also featured this year at Camp Summerdaze, and have been playing regularly across some of the top house/techno and after hour clubs in the city.

A new year, a new decade. For me, I felt a strong desire for cleaning, cleaning my studio, cleaning my travelbag which I use soooo often and is with me more than half of the year. Cleaning my kitchen, getting rid of the toxic, non PFOA-free frying pan. A new start of a cleaner me. Being closer to purity. And it feels good, very good. I don’t need a lot of material, the material I want is my studio gear, a nice mattress to sleep on and nice healthy cooking gear with natural produce and ingredients. And so there is less distraction around me so I can focus in a more clean way on music and spending time with my loved ones. With that in mind I made this new podcast. Enjoy the ride and hope to see you somewhere on this planet in 2020 or another time this decade. Smile and be kind, love and feel loved, sounds to me as a good start of every day.

To realize slowly what this means finally released all emotions and I cried badly after... 
BUT to see how many of you were watching us live and supporting us, from cats to kids, from North to South and East to West all over the world all together in this very moment 💫❤️🙏

Kontrollverlust

Kontrolle ist eine Illusion und ich kralle mich an ihr fest. Umklammere sie mit all meiner Kraft, doch muss sehenden Auges registrieren wie sie schwindet. Wie sie mir aus den Fingern gleitet, als würde ich beim Tauziehen auf der falschen Seite stehen. Langsam aber beständig schwebt dieses Konstrukt meines Verstandes zu Boden. Ich greife noch einmal nach. Gehe wehklagend in die Knie und halte die Luft an. Ich spüre, dass es sich um ein sinnloses Unterfangen handelt, doch ich kann nicht loslassen. Jede Zelle meines Körpers schreit mich an aufzugeben. Es einfach zu akzeptieren und zu beenden. Ich kann nicht mehr, halte dem Druck nicht länger stand und gebe Schlussendlich nach. Der Ohnmacht nahe, ergebe ich mich meinem Schicksal. 
Im ersten Moment geschieht nichts. Keine Schmerzen, keine Ängste oder Sorgen. Ich liege einfach nur da. Still und stumm lausche ich meinen Gedanken, bis der schier unendliche Storm versiegt. Dann kommt ein neues Gefühl in mir hoch. Frieden. Ich akzeptiere was ist und was war. Mit diesem Frieden kommt die Freiheit und Glückseligkeit breitet sich wie ein Lauffeuer in mir aus. 

Heute haben wir LENI zu Gast. Die Wahlleipzigerin ist noch relativ neu auf der Podcastwolke zugange, doch hat sich mit ihren ersten Sets bereits einen Namen, als talentierte und ambitionierte DJane gemacht. Mit ihren KataHaifisch Podcast bestätigt sie einmal mehr diese Einschätzung. Ihr Mix ist von Anfang bis Ende fesselnd. Sie präsentiert uns eine  reizende Mischung aus Downtempo und Organic House. Sanfte Vocals liebkosen mit fröhlichen Melodien. Treibende Basslines shakern ausgelassen mit Percussions. Wieder einmal handelt es sich um eine rundum runde Nummer.
