With his new EP, Alex Krüger aka Tigerskin continues his journey through wild, versatile and groovy Caribbean moods and beyond pure club functionality. Pink Zebra and Melancoholic both transport proper island vibes with a wink yet are still undoubtful Tigerskin trademark productions. Hirokos Riddim is a wet-sounding homage to the ‘Sleng Teng Riddim,’ a preset groove found in a certain trashy Japanese keyboard of the early 80s that accidentally lead to the invention of Dancehall Music by King Jammy and Wayne Smith in the mid 80s. The EP closes with the majestic rock-ish 33 Travellers, a tune based on a groove of another model of japanese trash keyboards that Alex distorted and recorded through grannies old tube radio when he was a teenager. Positive vibes for y'all! 

All tracks mixed by Stefan Janson and mastered by Salz Mastering in Cologne.

Bside Incoming: Szafran

We’re very excited to bring you a wonderful DJ/Producer from Poland, he goes by the name of Szafran.

Oskar Szafraniec plied his trade under the mentorship of the legendary A Guy Called Gerald before basing himself in Berlin where his regular appearances at Club der Visionaere, Watergate, Tresor and Salon zur Wilden Renate would fine tune his live performance. 

He has since released on notable labels like Rawax, Deset and Cyclo, and collaborated with some serious heavyweights like Ricardo Villalobos and Pier Bucci. 
But, after an enforced end to his touring days, the industrious Polish DJ sought a change of scenery on Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast. A much needed break from performing and producing allowed a chance for new influences, inspirations, production styles, and his new alias: Szafran. The result is a beautiful balance of hardware, software, and organic sounds; breakbeat drum loops, synths, keys and the signature sound of a 303.

Otake 006 is the debut from the born new Polish project "My 2nd Wife". The album is called 'Places EP "and is authored by Piotr Bejnar (Otake Records owner) and Maciek Kochański (Akme). The tracks names are inspired by places where they played together. ''Circus Tent'' - their favorite scene for years on Audioriver Festival and ''Oak Stage'' - the main stage on Summer Contrast festival. There are also two remixes by the artists from: Krakow (DEAS) and Tbilisi (Boyd Schidt).
