Heyyaa, it's time for the next part of the series. This time we have the pleasure to welcome Parisian label head and selector deluxe - Tom Joyce! 

Tom has graced the French capital with his carefully selected sounds since the early 2000s, a time during which held a residency at the la Java, hosting and playing alongside the likes of LoSoul, Audio Werner, Dario Zenker, Lowtec, XDB and more.

Wind the clock forward 20-ish years and Tom Joyce is still the name to know. Having amassed an impressive portfolio of club gigs across the continent, including Rex Club, Concrete, Tresor and Griessmuehle, Tom has become a household act in the scene.

He is now the label owner of @sounds-benefit-records where he’s developing his own vision of music, spanning the territories of house, techno and electro. S-Max, Alex Picone, Phil Evans, XDB, Kosh and Seuil are a selection of the heavyweights who have helped the label achieve international acclaim.

As a producer, Tom has put out several EPs and featured on a bunch of V/As, focusing on refining his sound and style, bit by bit, note ny note. Playlisted by Craig Richards and Seth Troxler, his productions are dominated by electro-tinged Detroit house and techno, just like his much-appreciated DJ sets.

The record, which features remixes from S.A.M (Delaphine, Mandar) and G.U.S (Mood Records, Blind Vision), became one of the most talked-about releases of 2017. And that was only the beginning. Volar, a man who's always in the mix, is based in Perm city in Russia and has been in love with music ever since he was a child. In 2008, he started to collect and listen to electronic music. In 2016, he began to  impact the DJ world by getting regular gigs at Studio Club and Tol'kotechno events in his home city.

Volar has crafted his own signature sound and has earned himself the respect of music lovers not only in his native Russia, but also on the global underground scene.  Bursting onto the scene in recent years, Volar has organized many events such the Modern Vibe series and the new project trad|mental.

For the fourteenth instalment of our OUFFFCAST series we are happy to present our Costa Rican friend and super selector - Artro.

Growing up in San José, Artro aka. Arturo Moncada got hooked by music from an early age. From playing drums and jamming with friends at the age of 10 to playing at concerts at the age of 15, Arturo came to familiarize himself with the process of making and playing music, experimenting with synthesizers, mixing consoles, digital an analog sequencers, pedals and other instruments in the process.

All these experiences got Artro more and more involved in the music scene. Drawing inspiration from musicians, artists, sound engineers and bands like Trentemoller, Kabuto & Koji, Depeche Mode, Ulver, Opeth, NIN, Led Zeppelin, Mobius Strum, Villalobos, Massive Attack, Andrew Schepps, Artro came to hone his own signature sound - making a splash on the international electronic music stage as a result.

Apart from spreading his ardent love for music around the world, playing at a number internationally renowned clubs in the process, Artro has also been the curator at some of the most influential clubs and events in Costa Rica, such as 4to Aniversario La506, Club Vertigo, Retrovisor, Antik, Hoxton Pub and has held residencies at San some of San José's major club institutions.

Artro has been releasing music since 2011, when he dropped his first EP Obtalá, which he has followed up with releases on well-regarded labels such as Half Seas Over (Costa Rica), DZB Records (Spain), Sound Academy (Turkey), Datenbits Recordings (Tbilisi), Dul Recordings (Argentina/El Salvador), Tracks For Dj (New York), Undertechnical (UK ). Next up is a vinyl release on 4 am records.

Based in Riga, Latvia, Valts Incis is a DJ whose taste revolves around the minimalistic palettes of electronic music.

Although being into music since his early days has left a trace on his musical vision, his track selection is mainly based on vibe and atmosphere, often with a lean towards tracks with lower frequencies, subtle, sometimes minor, middle range and overall underground sound. His never-ending exploration of new sounds and his playful approach to music are what set his sets apart, creating colourful, groovy and memorable experiences in the process.

Apart from his impeccable selection skills, Valts has gained recognition through being part of the well-renowned Underground Station parties in his hometown, promoting and pushing the sounds of other up-and-coming DJs in the scene.

Cosmo has been on our radar for a long time now and we are really excited to have him onboard. We first became acquainted through the Kiosk parties that he, along with a couple of close friends, have been throwing in Stockholm for a couple of years. 

Now very much a musical institution within the scene, Kiosk has come to be widely acclaimed for its warm atmosphere, intimate setting and impeccable bookings. As one of the founders of the Basic Movement collective in Paris, Gira has been an integral part of the electronic music resurgence that has taken place in the French capitol in recent years. From a distance and with keen interest, we have observed the increasing number of DJs, producers, music collectives and clubs that have burst on to the scene. Gira is an important force of this evolution.

Over the last couple of years, Gira has invited and shared the booth with a bunch of A+ selectors like Sugar Free, Andrew James Gustav, Digby, Youandewan, Alec Falconer, Riccardo, Manuel Schatz, the gentlemen from Beau Mot Plage, and many more. With great energy and enthusiasm, Gira is someone whose passion for music is impossible to miss. Hellu!! After a semi-brief hiatus we're finally back with a bang! This time around we're excited to introduce Norwegian maestro selector A:G!

Always searching for music with openness and curiosity, and with a love for discovering new gems that only grows stronger with time, A:G is a DJ who gives the word dedication a new level of meaning. 

With a playful approach to blending tracks and styles behind the decks, A:G always has another wave of energy coming, as he seeks to connect genres and harmonies to create a state of flow. He is doing that pretty damn well, if you ask us.

Besides concoting energy-infused and genre-bending sets and mixes, A:G has put out a handful of carefully curated productions that can be heard on labels such as EYA, Det Gode Selskab, OsloGround and his own imprint Blossy (@blossymusic), which he runs with his partner in music, love and life, Thorgerdur Johanna.

Morgan is one of Stockholm's most curious and passionate musical minds, with an energy and commitment that few can rival. Despite his young age, Morgan has been an integral part of the Stockholm scene for years now, spreading his unmistakable vibes and energy on dance floors and in booths around the city - always with a big smile on his face. It was in such a setting that we first met Morgan. And for that we are very thankful.

Hellu ladies and gents. It’s time for another edition of our mix series. So let’s jump on the OUFFFCAST train! To guide us on our musical journey we’re proud to present one of Portugal’s finest selectors - Manata.

A well known face in the Portuguese underground scene, Manata is a dedicated record collector with a penchant for mixing the old with the new. Back in the 2014 he won the competition of the Clube de Criativos de Portugal, together with Bloop Recordings. From then on Manata has been on a steady rise, having played in clubs and at parties all across the country, carefully honing his craft and diligently adding to his ever-increasing record collection.

In 2019 he released his first track on one of Berlin’s freshest up-and-coming labels Kaizenrecordsberlin. In the same year, he also went on to launch his very own vinyl only label Nugs On Board, which now boasts an impressive roster of producers and remixers such as Robbenspierre, Dormald, Tiago Marques, Roberto Manolio, Phil Evans, Giammarco Orsini and Jacobo Lantini.
