For release number 6 we are delighted to welcome our good friend Citizen back to the W&O Street Tracks family and along with him a producer we've had our eye on for sometime, Joe Ashworth.

Kicking off the EP we have 'Situation', a deep tribal house track featuring vocalist Shona Carmen that evokes the spirit of legendary clubs such as NY's Sound Factory whilst still sounding totally fresh and original. Stripped back without any unnecessary frills or flourishes, it's a masterclass in soulful yet simultaneously jacking house music.

If the original had more than a touch of Manhattan to it, then the 'LDN Warehouse Dub' brings things right back home with a sound forged on smoke filled dance floors in the grimier districts of East London and in its hypnotic, metallic bass line a nod to the Bleep sound of a previous generation of warehouse fillers like Unique 3 and LFO.

Finally we finish things off with 'State' a tautly wound piece of underground house music, that gently ratchets up the tension over 4 minutes before the organ comes in and before you can say 'La Da Dee, La Da Day' lifts the track, and we'd put money on any crowds listening to it, up to a whole 'nother level.

With half a dozen releases now in our first year from the likes of Ejeca, Rhythm Operator, Squarehead, Chamboché and Waze & Odyssey, W&O Street Tracks has quickly established itself at the forefront of the UK’s ongoing house music renaissance.

Outcross Records label head Miguel Campbell is proud to present new EP ‘Free Falling’, alongside talented vocalist and long-term collaborator Beccs Lott. Having previously joined forces on ‘Not That Kind of Girl’ on Hot Creations back in 2012, it’s clear to see that Miguel and Beccs Lott’s collaborative sound has not only tightened, but assumed a level of depth and maturity that only develops from a real understanding of each other as artists. Title-track ‘Free Falling’ is a case in point, fus-ing Miguel’s bright, soulful production work with Lott’s soothing vocal tones, while on ‘Run With Me’ - a track full of verve and colour - Miguel taps into his signature, disco-inspired brand of classic house.

Following releases featuring Tom Ellis, Basic Soul Unit, Kris Wadsworth and Ruthit, Newcaslteʼs (UK) Turquoise Blue delivers the ʻSound-byteʼ EP from Dogmatik, Crosstown Rebels and Hot Creations stalwart, Alex Arnout.
From running underground parties in his native Sheffield to his Dogmatik label (a label which has unearthed many a talent, including Maya Jane Coles), Arnout is a veteran of house music and has pretty much done it all. His productions continually win strong support across those who matter and his engineering/collaborations with the likes of Clive Henry always deliver.
The ʻSound-Byteʼ EP from the affable London-Based producer sees him deliver sine-heavy, rounded and warm deep house in two original tracks, ʻGiveUʼ and ʻMovements in Soulʼ. 
The R&B licked vocal house of ʻMovements in Soulʼ is the last original of the EP and it shows why Arnout has been snapped up for Hot Creations in the past while the hotly tipped Laura Jones serves up an eerie, peak time version appropriately drenched in electronic soul.
This is a superb EP featuring some of the strongest names in house in one five track package.
