The Day out of time is the culmination of the 13 Moon Calendar year originated from the Mayan science of time. On July 25th, Sirius (the dog star) rises with the sun. This day is observed as a day free of time in the 13 Moon Calendar. It is a day of reverence and cultural appreciation for the concept 'Time is Art.' This 'free day' is the closing of a 13x28=364 day year. Ushering in the next series of 10 releases on Horo and an all new look is the introduction of a new Horo artist signing - Lemna, collaborating with an artist who has become integral to the Horo sound - Sam KDC. Together Lemna and Sam KDC are Ourea, and Ourea I is an amalgamation of their two very singular approaches to electronic music. Polyrhythmic experimental techno with tribal rhythms that often operate at two different tempo’s at the same time, Ourea I is deceptive in it’s percussive shapeshifting, but strongly effective in the hands of the right DJ.

We take the next step into the year with our second release of 2017 from Pierre Myosis’ new established alias Pete Saturn. Formally known as ’Owl’ for his ambient tones and textures, Pierre focuses on this new alias to branch out within the dubstep spectrum. Maintaining a similar style and structure from this ‘Owl’ project, Pierre proves that new tempo territories do not scare him to experiment with this existing sound and approach a new audience of listeners. Beginning his journey within electronic music in 2009 with Clearlight, under the title Glÿph. Taking influence from all  styles, he particularly embarks on melancholic, dark, deep sounds.

After the first successful record, Danish label front man ‘Gaze ill’ pursues another excursion through the ever-growing Dubstep-spectrum. He returns to his own physical outline of ‘Cue Line Records’ with four hefty cuts that surely make up another stellar record, however he’s not alone. Last time it was his partner in crime RDG, this time its frontline support from the Dutchman & bass mammoth ‘TMSV’, who’s given ‘Space-Time’ a completely different spin.
‘CLV002’ opens up with a serious wobbler: one that is reminiscent to the golden days of the fundamental Dubstep sound, but housed in a completely different straightjacket. It swiftly sets the pace, as the wobbles leak into the leading element of the destructive ‘Space-Time’. The second cut by the Danish producer adds the ‘step’ to Dub music so to speak – and lively resembles King Tubby on a Dubstep flex. Watch out for that naughty second drop, which holds nothing but booming vibrations that’ll hang fans upside down. ‘Spirit Of The Forces’ unveils an equally refreshing take on futuristic bass music all thanks to the creative structure of both low-and-high melodies. This allows listeners to take flight easily and fly away from what we call reality – an excellent track for both spring and summer time. TMSV’s spin-off is as bright as its forerunner, but far more up-tempo and hypnotic. Utrecht’s producer instigates a spacious stepper that defeats time & momentum by incorporating his raw remix techniques. The right remixer for the right record: Cue Line Records at its best! Presenting ‘Rajasthan In Dub’ EP; the latest release from Outtallectuals artist, Lo.Renzo (@lo-renzo-project), in collaboration with Nicolò Melocchi (@nicobansuri), an Italian student of Hindustani music, & Asha Sapera, a dancer & singer from the Kalbeliya tribe of Rajasthan.

Primarily, this EP is the culmination of Nicolò’s time spent living with the musical tribes of Jodhpur in the past few years, training in local music & instruments. During this time, Nico has built a solid relationship with various members of the Kalbeliya tribe, a community whose dance & folks songs are included in UNESCO’s “List of Intangible Cultures”, & this relationship has included documenting videos & songs with Asha Sapera, one of the key internationally-renowned faces of tribe.

Combining with the ethnofusion musical capabilities of Lo.Renzo as an electronic producer & player of the Sarangi, Cumbus & Percussions, the recordings of Nico & Asha have developed into this novel collection of songs. Traditional sounds of Rajasthan merge with world dub aesthetics & subtle overtones of psychedelic music to create ‘Lhwar Jewra’ & ‘Beraghi’, two songs with the main lyrical theme of love & separation as expressed from the perspective of such nomadic people who must often leave their loved ones behind, departing without the knowledge of their next exact destination.
