"Interwoven" : A Journey Through Sound and Culture

We are thrilled to present "Interwoven," a 5-track collaborative EP from Iyakuh & Lo.renzo that delves into and celebrates diverse and cherished lineages of sound, woven into a cohesive musical journey. This EP guides listeners through a dynamic spectrum, drawing inspiration from the rich traditions of India, Africa, the Hawaiian Islands, the Andean Mountains, and the Amazon Rainforest of South America.

"Interwoven" immerses you in realms of deep bass, textured beats, downtempo grooves, and tribal dance rhythms, paying homage to the incredible cultures that have deeply inspired us. The EP features live vocals from Luana Schwengber on track 3, "Aina," and includes nature recordings from around the world, captured by the two producers.

Lo.renzo's live instrumentation adds a unique and authentic touch, featuring fretless guitar, sarangi, ngoni, quena, cumbus saz, kalimba, and various percussions. Each track seamlessly blends these elements, creating a vibrant tapestry of sounds that honor and unify these diverse musical traditions.

This is a recording of a flute improvisation captured in a special moment of a transformative time in the jungle near Tikal, Guatemala.

Some elements were later added in studio, gently preserving the essence of that place and its sounds. 
Though imperfect I felt the deciders to share it perhaps someone will find in it a breath of stillness.

Following the debut album Medisin, Norwegian musician, @eddibellmusic also known as the professional snowboarder,  @TorsteinHorgmOfficial  presents 'RETURN' EP, an evocative journey that doubles as the official soundtrack to ‘Return’ - the latest snowboarding film released by Shredbots Productions. The five-track EP encapsulates a balance between raw mountain energy of the north, and the tranquility of remote snowy forests.

RETURN builds on the immersive sound of Medisin, re-featuring two tracks for the film, Pinta and Shadow Dance, alongside three new tracks: Hummingbird, Otorongo, and Return. Organic natural textures, percussive grooves and instrumental harmonies blend with warm analog synths and chanted vocals, creating a dynamic yet atmospheric experience. The EP moves between introspective moments and pulse-driven energy, mirroring the fluidity of movement through untouched landscapes.

Played live on Sunday morning, July 6th, 2025 at the Asheville Movement Collective. This was my first Facilitation and live mix after having stepped away from AMC for almost two years. Leaving wasn't easy, and it really touched my heart to see familiar faces again in this beautiful dance container. 

I've grow in many ways as a person, and as a performing artist and deejay over the time away. This set represents my appreciation for the juxtapositions of simple elements in music to more complex, arranged in an undulating wave structure.
