Listen right, I was shown this track about a year or so ago, by a good friend of mine. Ever since, every time I listen to it, I'm astounded. The depth of the bass, how the sub seems to come from everywhere, the low mid sound design of the bass sends me out of this world. Such power in five minutes. Thank you, and point me to more.

As everyone knows by now, a terrible war is taking place in Ukraine. We are neither billionaires, nor soldiers, nor political leaders, nor NATO decision makers, nor superheroes, ...nor NGOs. We are only musicians and artists from different backgrounds (France, United States, Russia, Belarus, Germany, Belgium) and, unfortunately, we have neither the means to stop the war, nor to support each person in difficulty. Even if we frankly deplore it, we can at least try to support, on our scale and directly our Ukrainian family, the artists' collective and music label "Modern Stalking Audio" (based mostly in Kharkiv), by giving them the means to get to safety, and to provide for their basic needs in these incredibly difficult times.
 
Normally, these beautiful beings give everything they have to organize quality events and fight to enhance culture in Ukraine. 
We are several artists, present on this compilation, to have noticed it when we were invited to perform there, in Kharkiv, Odessa, sometimes even several times for some.

Today, most of our friends are either refugees where they can (impossible for men aged 18-60 to leave the territory), or fighting in their own way and helping, at the risk of their lives, in the big cities and borders. 

After having helped them according to our means, we release this compilation for all those who wish to support them. Every donation, even the smallest, will be welcome. We do not pretend (and do not have the means) to do a work comparable to the Red Cross or other NGOs, However, all the gains resulting from these steps will be transferred directly by bank transfer to our friends to help them on our scale, just like those resulting from the associated Gofundme. 

 "A drop of water in an ocean... but what is an ocean if not a multitude of drops" 

It should also be noted that the international humanitarian aid remains for the moment essentially at the border and does not arrive (or very little) in the big cities which are under the bombardments...

What will the funds from this various artists' compilation and fund be used for? 

Humanitarian needs: rental of temporary accommodation; food in the current conditions of food shortage during this period of war and post-war (bread, chocolate, vegetables, fruits, etc.) ; medicines to keep people and their loved ones healthy; essential products for babies and young children (baby food, child care products, etc.); expenses for evacuation services (public transport tickets, private drivers, accommodation in host countries, etc.).

The bullerengue parts were recorded on the Caribbean coast of Colombia with 70 year old maestro Máximo Yanez and Bulla y Tambo during a collaborative project organized by Cantos del Rio. The inter-generation relationship is accentuated as Máximo leads the singing, with a super young group, telling them in the lyrics, 'ya'll have a lot of talent, its that talent that will build the peace we want in Colombia, in the world'

Phewa Dawn is an initiative in partnership with Skate Nepal to redesign and renovate Phewa Skatepark, the only functioning skate park in Nepal. Over 50 musicians have taken part in this project, collaborating with each other to create a variety of organic and/or tribal-influenced electronic music.

This album is a collection of previously unreleased music, which is free for you to download. 

I've written music in the same studio space for the last 10 years. I've learned a lot in that time, this EP feels like the end of something old, and the beginning of something new. I'm moving to a new place, in a totally different part of the country to try and find some comfort in the fast paced and harsh reality we live in these days.
 
I'll be back with more music soon, but for now my studio will be in transit. I hope nothing gets broken! 

I hope you enjoy this collection of old unreleased and sometimes not quite finished material that has been lost to old, broken and thrown out hard drives. I've mastered it as well as the current studio will allow. 

Thank you personally and warmly to anyone who chooses to pay something for this, however little. If you just want it for free, please take it. I hope you enjoy it.
