All Blues All the Time

Jesus Left Chicago is a cut from Tres Hombres the third studio album by the American rock band ZZ Top. It was released by London Records in July 1973 and was the band's first collaboration with engineer Terry Manning. It was the band's commercial breakthrough; in the US, the album entered the top ten while the single "La Grange" reached number 41 on the Billboard Hot 100.

“La Grange” is the first single from ZZ Top’s 1973 Tres Hombres album.  A 1992 lawsuit alleged that the one-chord song’s signature riff had been stolen from one of the versions of bluesman John Lee Hooker’s “Boogie Chillun'”. The courts found that Besman had failed to properly copyright the song in a timely manner, so the early versions of the song were considered part of the public domain, which meant Z.Z. Top was not liable to Besman or La Cienega Music Co. So here's my take.

La Grange

Gregg Allman was 21 years old when the song was first recorded. Its writing dates back to late March 1969, when The Allman Brothers Band was first formed. My take with a lot of liberty on the guitar parts. Mixcraft 9 Pro Studio
