With Horizon, South African composer Jason van Wyk returns to his Inherent material in a new light. Three tracks, Inner, Shine, and Cascades, are transformed through an ambient lens, trading rhythmic momentum for expansiveness and contemplation. The result is a companion piece that spotlights the latent tranquility and emotional resonance of the originals, reframing familiar melodies as immersive sonic landscapes. Horizon confirms van Wyk’s evolving artistry and his uncanny ability to deconstruct and reassemble his work into something renewed, introspective, and deeply felt.

A meditative journey through death and the afterlife. “Ashes” drifts between silence and sound, existence and disappearance — ambient reflections on mortality, memory, and what lingers beyond.

Tobias Lorsbach, professionally known as Logic Moon, is an artist based in Mainz, Germany. His musical trajectory encompasses a broad spectrum, beginning with his role as a guitarist in a death metal band, followed by endeavors as a DJ, and ultimately establishing himself within the ambient music sphere. This diverse background informs the conceptual depth of his recent works, which seamlessly incorporate experimental and neoclassical elements.

Gentle drones lure the listener in, punctuated by shards of tape hiss and electronic hum. 
Synchronised voices rise and fall, synthesisers exhale, all ushered forward by the pulse of distant static. It’s the sound of a highway at night, the sound of a digital sea, the sound of time passing. 

DEEP COMPLETIONS is a self-titled 8 track album of choral and ambient music, written and recorded in Berlin between 2023 and 2025. Released in the year 2025 on Amsterdam’s Shimmering Moods Records.

Jason van Wyk is a Cape Town (South Africa) based electronic music producer whose music I often wish could have been my own. From cinematic soundscapes to soft piano keys and mesmerising passages, the elements of his pieces are all the necessary ingredients that I often try to combine in my music. And that is basically the highest sort of praise that I could give. There are many incredible ambient musicians who truly inspire me with their ability to create and transport me to their fantastic sonic worlds. And plenty have contributed to my growth as a musician - I am permanently indebted to many of them, whom I am honoured to call friends. But in my soul, I am a pianist, and the instrument [or its echoes] inevitably make it into my tracks. And this is what I love about Jason's music. His most recent release on the beloved n5MD, Inherent, is a more upbeat, forward-driven progression, combining his skills of crafting dance-oriented grooves with atmospheric soundtracks. For his upcoming EP, Jason reworked three tracks into pure ambient pieces. To truly appreciate the transformation, start by hearing the original track, followed by this alternative version. American Dark Ambient sound sculptor AJNA returns with his latest full-length work, New Revelations of Being, an eleven-track descent into the abyss of human psyche and metaphysical dread. Following his acclaimed Cyclic Law releases, this new opus draws direct inspiration from the fevered writings of Antonin Artaud’s Artaud 1937 Apocalypse.

With New Revelations of Being, AJNA channels Artaud’s fragmented visions of destruction, renewal, and transcendence through a vast palette of subterranean drones, spectral resonances, and suffocating atmospherics. Each track unfolds like a psychic document, blurring the line between revelation and delirium, guiding the listener into haunted states where words dissolve into vibration and consciousness is unmoored from form.

At once oppressive and illuminating, the album furthers AJNA’s ongoing exploration of the boundaries of perception, death, and rebirth. Dense textures coil and fracture into hidden harmonics, mirroring Artaud’s own descent into madness as a vessel for ecstatic truth.

New Revelations of Being cements AJNA as one of the foremost practitioners of the Dark Ambient tradition, offering not just music but a transformative experience, a ritual in sound that demands surrender.
