There are still first times happening for me in Europe, even after travelling and DJing the continent for almost 25 years now. But I have never ever made it to Cyprus before. So on March 24th it was my very first time on this beautiful island, and it could not have gone any better. The awesome crew of @technohabitsnicosia were such amazing hosts, real outstanding. And what a cool location in the middle of nowhere really. I felt like in the early days of raves. Not to mention the amazing crowd in the Camelot (yes, indeed it looked like a little old English castle). Cyprus, I feel a whole lot of love for all of you there. What an awesome event you put up, I cannot say enough how thankful I am that you invited me and I really hope to be back super soon. Maybe in the summer? So now I am happy to share the 3+ hour set I got to play there with all of you. Hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed playing it. It is filled with loads of upcoming and current CLR releases by the way. Try and spot them.

It has been 7 years since Chymera’s seminal Ovum release “Umbrella” and it only seems fitting that we kick of our 20th Anniversary celebration with a new release from him.  Since his debut on Ovum, Chymera aka Brendan Gregoriy has been busy releasing on lables like NRK, Komplex De Deep, Cocoon, Kompakt, and more.

Chymera kicks this two tracker off with “Tidal”. This is a full on stormer as Brendan takes you on a throbbing journey.  It ebbs and flows bringing you to a complete boil that will drive any crowd wild.

Accomplished producer, Phil Kieran, makes his Hotflush debut with a two-track ode to hedonistic flight. “Yes I’m going there” goes the lead track’s refrain. Where ‘there’ is, who knows? But you can enjoy a soundtrack of sun-kissed piano chords and heraldic horns on the way. As Kieran ‘gets away’ on the A2, the mood takes a turn for the dark. Lost in the early hours, pockets full of miniature plastic bags and no money…thank fuck for the throb of that kick in these lonely but exciting times.

Richy Ahmed and Ryan Elliott, offer their interpretations of Kieran’s bacchanalia on the B-side with the former creating a barnstorm of minor stabs and attitude, and the latter tearing it up, down, left and right with his broken beats and wailing vox. Gone there. Got Away.
