Abstract Original and Komplex are two Vancouver-based MCs whose authentic sound and many facets of experience distinguish them in a saturated market. 

The two MCs met in Vancouver in 2009, and their personal histories as First Nations artists growing up in the Yukon bind them creatively and culturally. Their sound embodies the landscape it reflects: sparse and untamed, the rhythms and stories of the Canadian West Coast follow them through the underground hip-hop scene.

Both men established themselves musically in their own right before joining together in a creative camaraderie. While Komplex toured Yukon music festivals - like Sunstroke, Frostbite and Rendezvous - with his former crew Greater World Dragons, Abstract Original was receiving artistic and mentorship awards year after year at the Adaka Cultural Fest.

Now established as Vancouver artists, Komplex and Abstract indulge in the prevalent Marijuana culture of the Pacific Northwest, enjoying blunts and dabs while writing and recording. Their first EP "A.O.K Volume 1" is set to drop this summer and features production from Aziz Light and Kill Tha DJ Esquire
