Traveling

Fetherstone, in collaboration with London-based producer Harry Tarlton, presents 'Two Hands on Deck’, the fourth instalment of her self-titled 4-track EP. Under the guise of Fetherstone, her new electronic-pop-folk infused persona, Australian songstress Briana Cowlishaw brings the tradition of the troubadour storyteller into the modern electronic pop genre through her innate passion for storytelling. 

The single was featured on the Richer Unsigned August 2017 Highlights playlist, which was then later hand picked by Newton Faulkner to feature on the Richer Unsigned record store day vinyl compilation, April 2018. 


A note from Briana.... 

Often as artists we think we need to go the road alone, tough it out and struggle to make things work on our own, because we should be capable, right? In this fight to be strong enough, good enough, noticed, credited as an artist, I often find myself lonely, doubting my art and it's validity. 

This song is about letting that go and celebrating collaboration. Letting people in to bounce off, create with and feel like you are part of something bigger than yourself. This track is intended to capture what it feels like that moment you let go - a feeling of release, weight lifted from your shoulders, excitement, playfulness ... and potentially a little party dance to celebrate!

Two Hands On Deck

Øyvind Weiseth lager popmusikk på halsadialekt med frodige gitarlandskap, rike harmonier og ukonvensjonelle tekster om sorg, helbredelse og håp. Siden hans debutsingel «Eventyr» i 2015 har han utforsket forskjellige lydlandskap og konsertoppsett fra den mer up-tempo «Hjelp Me Opp» til hans nyeste utgivelse, «Plata Handla Om D», en reise gjennom et knust hjertes dagbok. 

Etter å ha vunnet Songlink-prisen «Best Contemporary Song» med «Inside Our Minds», blitt utvalgt til å ha låtskriversession med Sir Paul McCartney i 2017, finaleplass i Musikkprisen 2016, samt topp 15-plassering i Idol i 2018, gikk Weiseth i gang med å spille stuekonserter hjemme hos det norske folk; noe som viste seg å være en naturlig arena for den svært personlige musikken: «Jeg kommuniserer med publikum på en måte få andre gjør. Jeg er veldig åpen i musikken og tekstene mine, og folk blir kjent med meg som person og ikke bare som artist når de kommer på konsertene mine.»
