The Big Lack Of ...

This January, I'm challenging myself to create a new song idea every day for 14 days (January 9th-22nd) as part of the Seed to Stage “Jamnuary” Community Challenge! I did this for the first time in 2024 while learning Ableton Live, and I'm excited to dive back in. I'll try keep each session under 2 hours. Thanks for listening, and I’d love any feedback you have. JAMNS 8_2025_WIP

Jam 13 for the Seed 2 stage Jamnuary challenge 2025.  Today I made a Jam using a Pocket Operator.  I sampled sounds from some unusual instruments into the P.O. and used it’s built in sequencer to make some odd little tracks. From there I brought the recordings into Ableton and added a bass line and some samples of the somewhat forgotten British Botanist and TV presenter, David Bellamy, talking about Glow Worms.

Seed To Stage Jamnuary entry. This is a WIP jam, warts and all. 

The event lasts optionally for the entirety of the 31 days of the month. 

The theory being a treasure will appear to be developed into something for release.

Our dear Anthony made a rack called 'Speed Saturator' in the Mixing & Mastering' course in lesson 9.5. He also offers an ableton set in that lesson...which inspired me to play with. The speed saturator came in handy and added a bit of distortion to the original sound.
Hope this adds to his infectious reminder to remain 'stoked' !
