Ceaseless cycles of the crash and its many forms map our history:

● economic: the sudden collapse of stock markets.
● demographic: the sudden decline of populations.
● hardware: the sudden malfunctioning of family computers after using Limewire.
● emotional: the sudden realization that you have been mooching baccy from crusties at a clatty afters for 3 days.

Despite its endless semblances, the og crash is the car crash. Trailing streamers of electric emotion can be found in the ritual collision of the automobile. Sites of our collective imagination, their rhythms of destruction are understood as terminal symptoms of the technological age; as a metallic rite of passages - vehicles of liminal liberation & sexual rebirth; or for the laymen amongst us - a tasty insurance claim $$. Whatever ur two cents, the car crash seems to be our unequivocal condition.

The cult of the car crash is well and truly alive - in eerie lay-bys, empty-car parks and busy intersections - they bring us together at high velocity. Together with the original B, Vani-T, this is a collection of tracks 2 brace for the high-impact - sexy, sincere and seminal.

An authentic soldier of the dark arts, yer man makes John Cooper Clark look like Gary Barlow. 

Disk Jockeys out there, take note: this is a purists guide to the post-modern bogan. His monthly show ‘Fresh Fruit’ - a broadcast which has been on air since Moby went vegan and Merseyside Keegan, the t-man has been living rent free in our heads for a good while now.

There is an elephant in the room and we are not going to bury our heads in the sand: he has previously done a mix for Astral VIP (everyone makes mistakes). It has been a Kafkaesque nightmare trying to contact someone from their corporation, but luckily someone from their customer service team put us to one of their unpaid paralegal interns who has assured us that we won't be pursued legally from the Astral head honchos.

Lock up your loved ones, hide all valuables- Unalitro, the maddest trio of Irish cats this side of the Atlantic - are in the area.

Best known for their infamous spat mit the Boomtown Rats in the later 1980s & their flings with Kate Moss in the early 2000s Notoriously hard to track down they can be found anywhere from catwalks of Milan to the crackhouses of Camden. Where ever they go they can be found on the old 1s and 2s deep in the mix.

Recorded some time in the early 90s. 2 hours of straight to the point house. As it should be: 100% vinyl, 2 turntables & a healthy dose of sleep deprivation. Deejaying done right, a real who's who!

Putting a pigeon amongst the cats we are back with that good shit. An out of step, incidental artefact of peaceful sophistry: YS - Brutal Flower (2 x “12 LP). A no airs and graces piece of cool future-proof ambience. A modern ballad for brave young clubbers, local pubbers, slipstream warriors, and emotional doggers. 

The distinctive aesthetic hallmarks of YS are all here: slabs of urban flavor from emotional interior; raw data straight from the interface. Both hopeful and mourning: this is the lay of the land in Brutal Flowers. It feels young in an ancient sort of way: pure as first snow. Unfolding with the patience, tranquility and the expansive poise of a work that is for now and always. Pulsating and gently to assured - a flickering skyline, swarming with warm memories. 

An aesthetic reflection of a creative process that is delicate and restless. Created in the edges, where long distances, fast cities and global melancholia are wrought large. Burning the midnight oil Berlin-Singapore style: from real to reel. A sentimental exercise of modern faith by old friends. With a nudge and a wink, Brutal Flowers is a (de)coded map of memories wavering with familiar intrigue. Patient listeners and the already initiated will be rewarded on revists - as playful & profound as you please, as deep as the heart. 

The scathe that cuts is clean and deep. There are no sleight of hands to be found in this opus, only hearts are worn on the sleeve here. 

If this is the final dance music boss, then so be it.

 1/2 of YS, 1/3 of Astral VIP & a cherished member of the PY family, Nipuna joins us in the first hour for one of hardcore feeling in the place: 

I had this dream - I could hear the galloping coming my way. The dark knights of the soul, riders of the realm. They were coming to present me a coin, a choice, "heads or tails?"... "Headz", I said. With a flick of a thumb, the coin spiraled into the air in slow motion. In a state of suspended time, the coin revealed that it had many sides and perspectives, so many beyond heads and tails - almost infinity like. It continued to spin, like a Rodolex, demonstrating every possibility for what felt like an eternity. Transfixed, I stared as it went from slow to fast, so fast at this point that it formed into a black sphere. I put my palm out underneath it, which is when they told me, "the world comes from shadow... with precision." The coin landed in my palm and I clenched my fist. I awoke instantly. I never saw which way that coin landed! My laptop was next to me, and 'Blue Flowers' by Doctor Octagon was playing on Youtube - Nipuna

Originally written for the ‘Horizons Sauvages’ exhibition by painter Marie-Laurence de Chauvingy de Blot, @deejaydugong accompanying composition is the reification of a shared love of nature - setting out to capture the essence of her painting in musical form. Using natural sound pallets and layered loops, the complex bio-poetics of the ecosystem are explored in the fragility of their restless liminality. Environments in motion. Above all, the compositions are meditations on the importance of preservation.

There we have it then: after-the-fall organic ambience across two full sides. Essentially essential - a blueprint for the next generation of New Age music. The resynchronization of what was, what is and what is yet to be.
