DIGITAL TEST Vol. I – V.A. is the first release in a new series of exclusive digital projects.

For this inaugural compilation, 27 artists come together under the minimalist spectrum that defines Bohrium. Some are already part of the Family, while others are making their debut here.

The release moves between hypnotic grooves, broken beats, and raw textures, while also exploring more experimental directions beyond Bohrium's most recognizable sound.

Releasing in 2025, DIGITAL TEST Vol. I lays the groundwork for this new project that will continue to develop throughout 2026, marking a new creative phase for the label.

This new release from HELP presents music from various HELP-related artists. Another release from the Århus-imprint that doesn’t directly state “club-proof”, but still, this one wouldn’t mind having a spin or two by your local dance-pusher. The opening track is by Central; a fresh house tune with both melodies and good-vibes - maybe the closest this young man has come to making an anthem. Next up is the 4 piece group Maizena with a ambiguous rhythmical ambient-house jam from the area of Denmark where it rains the least. On the B-side you’ll find a raw and to the point recording of DJ Sports and C.K joining PH1 in his throwback techno-studio in the suburbs of Århus. Next up is the long awaited debut from Manmade Deejay, who has been cooking a floating rhythm jam for this 5 course meal of modern danish cuisine. Last but not least Amsterdam-based KAAP joined Central on a fine day at Rubber Studios to create this dreamy and galloping ride.  All in all this genuine piece of wax if filled with local devotion and love from the HELP-crew. As a long-time supporter of Phonica, Mr. G was a natural choice for the compilation and his contribution is yet another stone-cold Colin classic, named after his preferred day for record shopping no less! Ol of Faces Records is up next with the exceptional house/garage hybrid 'AMC Edit'.

On the other side, Lady Blacktronika starts things off with the deep and wonderful 'Gods And Planets', one of her strongest productions to date. Finally, DJ Kaos teams up with Loudtone for their 'Buffalo Dub', an old-school inspired house gem aimed at the dancefloors of today.

Boyard from Belfast Ireland, makes completely sick music and has his own imprint called Mystic Mountain Express and we trust those of a fine musical pedigree will check that out! We planned to release a complete album of these “old studio jams” but due to the sheer volume of wicked tunes felt it was better to break them down into two easily digestible eps. Fear not dear listener, both arrive with different tastes so you can enjoy them without moderation. A brief description of what transpires next: “Staring Into Space” is hot for the heads that love a square bass, and be honest ‘who doesn’t’? “Interstellar Express” comes strong on the breaks but has an understated acid vibe, with overlapping LFO sweeps and earworm vocal. A real groove builder. Totally spatial. “Night Shift” has a tribal dub mayhem meets a ”sort of Metro Area” vibe. Hard to not be into this. “Out of Sight” wraps things up with a 3/4 idm riddim thing going on and almost like a chem bros thing going on.. And i’m about it! Get lost in this collection of movin’ jams.

Italian Samuele De Santis from the 'This Is Not' crew makes his YUNG DUMB debut with a 4-track original EP, aptly titled 'Future Camp'. The A-Side features the title track, an acidic and dystopian sounding electronica cut, paired with dusty and raw 808s. 'Warm Truck' stays on the same train with a slowed break, accompanied by crunchy analogue basslines, off-the-box drum work, and hazy keys. The B-Side opens with 'Voices Of Varese Lake' a club-ready number with airy vocals and punchy, woody percussion. Closing out the EP is 'Time Machine' which forays into more of an early-night house sound with soulful crooning sample bits, instrumentation chops, and wavy synths. This is Future Camp!

Skylax Armagnac's darling who released his first EP just a year ago, which had an international resonance with rave reviews from Resident Advisor, Bicep, Chaos in the CBD, Peach or even soul clap. Rightly some saw it as a resurgence, a modernized version of 90s New York house, silky and elegant in the Bobby Konders, Mr Fingers way. For this new EP, with fantastic remixes of the brilliant Simoncino, our French prodigy is inspired by the beginnings of trance on the title song (and title of the ep by the way) "The world as we know it (masterclass mix)", UK dub and rave influences, as on some Nu Groove releases (notably the first joey beltram) - the lead vocal sample comes from a speech in which Noam Chomsky describes the United States as a violent country and hard. According to the author "If this piece says something, I believe it is that the music and the party should not serve to forget the problems of the world, but rather to find the strength, the resources, the inspiration to solve them." On "Oh La Musique" Armagnac used the sound of his neighbors as a voice sample ! Indeed, during this incredibly complicated period that we are living in, confinement due to the devastating effects of covid 19, one of his neighbors played music really loudly and for 20 minutes ignored the other neighbors who were screaming "oh oh, the music" through the window. "Turning this moment of irritation into a sample to the glory of the music strikes me as pretty funny." Still according to the author. On B1, it’s a house masterclass lesson by the phenomenal & ultra prolific Simoncino, but do i need to remind you how much italians are masters in their way of paying homage to all the best house music that has ever been created & produced ? Good taste is often on their side ! The red zone club is a tense and incredibly effective mix that can be enjoyed either on a house or techno dancefloor, it is clearly a banger. B2 saw the italian master offers us a beautiful ambient mix. And to conclude "On My Own" is according to Armagnac "a title that speaks of the trust that one can place in one's fellow human beings and of emancipation." A superb EP that adds to the long list of must-haves from Skylax Records.
