Johannesburg is well-known as the City of Gold, a bustling metropolis pulsing power throughout Africa, and the cosmos at large. Less is known about the dark and brooding creatures it produces.

Reezo Hassan defines himself not only by his music but how he lives.
His orbit began in the early 2000s, playing at verboten parties under scene of  Johannesburg. This odyssey inspired voyages, first to the streets of London, and more recently, to the mountains and valleys of Cape Town, where his ethos has been shaped through nostalgic and way-out dance floor cultures and bona fide human connections.  
 
Unique in creating a sturdy reputation from Djing alone, this dexterity informs how Reezo Hassan creates unfamiliar territory charged with familiar feelings. His extensive record collection also ensures a deep respect for the past, despite both feet being firmly grounded in the rhythms of the future.
 
While keeping the constant flow of ethereal & quality groove circulating on dance floors, the versatility of his sets and his ability to intuitively seek out timeless house and obscure techno has seen him supporting some of the scene’s most celebrated DJs including: Seth Troxler, Cassy, Osunlade, Jef K Marco Resmann, Stimming, Sebo K, Andre Lodemann, Alex Smoke, Matthew Tolfrey, Heidi, Black Coffee, Bodycode, and many more.
