What inspired you for this mix?
Melodrumma is a mix inspired by African drumming patterns and how they've been appropriated in various rituals to induce trance from the basement to bedroom to the club and the arena. This is definitely a collection of sounds that for you to meditate and spiral to but I also included a lot of gems for the music nerds who are on that free jazz, digi/afro beat, world music spectrum.
What's your current favorite self care ritual?

Favorite self care ritual currently is me and my girls collecting reparations. Get you some citrine to carry in your bag/wallet or just send that venmo/paypal request to that problematic person who's inflicted violence on you cause at the end of the day you have to perform the labor of healing and we all know self care is costly and not easily accessible. Spend their coin to facilitate your growth but be strategic and always keep receipts...  

What does home sound like to you?
This past year I spent a lot of time immersed in various bodies of water- practicing different rituals to become more familiar with myself from communicating with my ancestors through the medium of the waves or even sticking the back of my head under the water of spiritual baths listening to my heart beat in sync with my breathing. The sound of the waters have facilitated a deeper and more fluid inquiry into who I am at the core.
