When I was in 10th grade I asked my Belgian Spanish Teacher (Ms. Van Stichel) why the Spanish word “esperar” was used for both waiting and hoping. Maybe a sophomoric question (excuse the pun), but her answer has stuck with me through the years. She said “to wait is to hope”, and how right she was.

I Hope

A long time ago, we created this song in collaboration with our friend Reverence. It was originally released on Bandcamp as part of Doc Torthis' album, Sounds For Sore Ears Vol. 1, the proceeds of which were meant to help him offset the costs of running his independent radio station, Dólfinngr Radio. Dólfinngr Radio is now gone, but the song lived on, thanks mostly to Eddie Shook kindly playing it on his biweekly show, Anything Goes. It's been through several revisions over the years, and we thought it might finally be time to put a version of it up on Soundcloud. So we took a couple takes, and started trying to teach ourselves some of the finer points of using a (somewhat?) legitimate DAW. 

Needless to say, today we discovered reverb. Whoa.

I BOUGHT EQUIPMENT (NOT PERMANENT) TO GIVE THIS A GO.  NOT AS NICE AS WHAT I HAVE THAT IS BROKEN.
HOWEVER, I GAVE IT A GO BECAUSE YOU ALL DO KNOW THAT BEFORE I GRADUATE FROM THIS "UNIVERSITY"...YOU UNDERSTAND I WILL KNOW HOW TO DO THIS TECHIE STUFF ~ "ADD" OR NOT!!! SMILING AND GIGGLING ~ <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

I HAD AN  UNUSUAL EXPERIENCE TONIGHT ALTHOUGH MANY OF YOU MAY EXPERIENCE THIS ALL THE TIME~  SINCE CHILDHOOD I'VE NEVER WANTED ANYTHING WITH A LOT OF GADGETS TO IT.  NOW CONSIDER THAT I AM A WOMAN ...YES, A FEMALE AND I DON'T LIKE TO GO SHOPPING FOR CLOTHES EITHER!  BUT THE BUSINESS WORLD STUDIES  WHAT WOMEN LIKE AND THEN THEY "TELL US" WHAT WE LOVE TO BUY AND SO THEY DECIDE WHAT I WANT~  AND OH HOW I LOVE THAT~ JOY - JOY!!

SO TONIGHT I WAS ON MY CELLPHONE YES, LISTENING TO SOUNDCLOUD, OF COURSE!!  AND SUDDENLY ONE OF THOSE SCREECHING NOISES LIKE THE TV MAKES IN ORDER TO WARN YOU OF BAD WEATHER WENT OFF; WHAT A SHRILL NOISE!!

MUSIC IS EMANATING FROM THE CELL PHONE AND THEN THAT LOUD SCREECH WHICH MEANT MY HANDS WENT OVER MY EARS~  WHERE WAS THE NOISE?  IN MY HAND COMING FROM A WEATHER THINGY, OF COURSE!  BRIGHT RED IT WAS AND FINALLY I READ THE WORDS:  "TORNADO"!!
THEN I REALIZED I COULD CUT IT OFF. WITH THE PANDEMIC, I DON'T FEEL THAT I NEED ANY EXTRA "FUN" - "FUN" OH YES, THAT kind~ I LOVE~ JUST NOT THIS KIND~  

I KEEP EVERYTHING AS EASY TO OPERATE OR USE OR WHATEVER, AS SIMPLE AS POSSIBLE AND NOW THE WORLD OF  "AI"  HAS CREATED ALL OF THESE LOVELY HELPFUL THINGS.   I CAN'T FIND THE TIME TO JUST CUT THEM ALL OFF OR FIND THEM.
 ONE SUGGESTION I HAVE FOR "AI" IS TO ASK SOME ONE WHO IS not OF AI, TO GIVE THEM SIMPLE HINTS AS TO HOW THEY MIGHT ORGANIZE THE DARN PHONE AND I MEAN OUTSIDE TO THE INSIDE.  
HINT! SOMEBODY START A "BUSINESS" JUST FOR THAT~  I PROMISE YOU IT WILL HELP A LOT AND YOU'LL MAKE LOTS OF MONEY BELIEVE ME!!   I’LL NOT GO INTO HOW I KNOW BUSINESSES BUT TRUST ME; ALSO THERE ARE MUSIC CREATORS HERE BUT THERE ARE MANY HERE WHO ARE IN BUSINESS & NOT JUST “SMALL” BUSINESS.  YOU’VE NO IDEA HOW INNOVATIVE BUSINESSES CAN BE.  IT AMAZES ME !

BACK TO WHAT’S IMPORTANT!  THERE IS ONE THING I HAVE LEARNED AND IT'S THIS:   
NEVER GET ONLINE TO DEAL WITH IT.  YOU’LL SUDDENDLY FIND THAT YOU OWN ALL KINDS OF GOODIES.  AND IT BECOMES MORE OF A BATTLE TO KEEP YOUR THINGS "UNTOUCHED" BY TECHNOLOGY.  
I MEAN, JUST LAST WEEK, I WAS SOLD SOFTWARE THAT WOULD KEEP AN EYE ON MY DEFENSIVE SOFTWARE (I DON'T THINK IT'S CALLED THAT BUT HEY, I'M TRYING.)  

I'VE TOLD ALL OF YOU SINCE EARLY CHILDHOOD, I HATE (OH, SUCH A STRONG WORD SANDY) JUNK TRASHING UP MY WORLD...ANYWAY, I  WAS TOLD WHEN I PURCHASED THAT PIECE, THAT I WAS TOTALLY COVERED.  BUT OH NO, SOME NICE PERSON WANTING TO KEEP ME SAFE, TOLD ME ...AND YOU GOT IT~  NOW I'VE GOT TWO "DEFENSE PRODUCTS". YES, THEY CONVINCED ME.
WHEN IN BUSINESS, SOME NOVICE LIKE ME “NEVER” DEALS WITH “AI”.  THANK  HEAVENS FOR THOSE WHO EAT SLEEP AND DRINK “AI”!  SMILING~

THE OTHER ISSUE I CAN'T ADDRESS.  NOPE AND NO AMOUNT OF YOU ASKING WILL GET ME TO TALK~  I CAN KEEP MY MOUTH SHUT WITH THE RIGHT INDUCEMENT~ BELIEVE ME!!
