Two days ago while I was parking my car I was listening to classical radio music. Just before turning off my car, a few notes from a piano sounded. I started walking and sang this piece in my head.

We often write for a larger ensemble and so these solo piano pieces have served not only as a study in distilling our multi-layer arrangements to their essence, to a form two hands can play, but also cast the spotlight on the centrepiece/bedrock of our sound, our beloved, creaky studio piano. We feel there is an air of content closure about Triptych III, and we hope you find it a fitting end to our Triptych series.”

Roberto Pineda: Tema De Yasmine

This was a music entry to the 2017 International Animated Film Music Competition, organised by the Athens Concert Hall. Each contestant had to provide original music for the award winning short animation “The leaf of the poplar” by Eirini Vianelli.

The cues of music that were provided were based around piano and simple vocals lines. For the creation of the sound design specific audio was recorded and samples from the collaborative database freesound.org were used.

Sometimes when I sit in front of the television I have the feeling of being disconnected from the world. There are celebrities that I don't know, trendy songs that I've never heard, famous movies that I haven't seen, ...
I feel as if much of what happens around me has nothing to do with me, as if to a certain extent ... step by step I cease to belong to the world reflected by television, social networks, etc.

There are things more authentic than this shallow world.

I dedicate this song to my father. Among many other things I owe him music, books and my profession.

I Constantinos, work as a high school physicist, because I love inspiring students to understand the essence of science. Teaching is not my only passion, though.
