'Black Rainbows', harks back to the retro-futurism of 93 when artists like Crystl, the Legend crew or Chaos & Julia Set were constantly pushing the boundaries with forward thinking music. The typewriter-style beats with wildly cut-in rewinds, mad beat edits and time-stretch effects create an uneasy listening experience. The dystopian image is completed by an extra layer of textures of bleeps, mechatronic noises, vocals and reeces. Dark but beautiful, melancholic yet relentless. An intense ride that is not for the faint hearted!
