'Old Empire' closes the EP and shows another dimension of Innercore's sound
palette. Sinking sound effects keep the dark vibe alive. An assault of running
amens slaps you in the face while a female screams 'All Over Me' - and this tune
really is all over you. Warm pads appear and bring some enlightenment throughout, but the dark synths are just around the corner, ready to attack your sins again!

No set release date for this yet as you all know these times are crazy!

'Black Rainbows', harks back to the retro-futurism of 93 when artists like Crystl, the Legend crew or Chaos & Julia Set were constantly pushing the boundaries with forward thinking music. The typewriter-style beats with wildly cut-in rewinds, mad beat edits and time-stretch effects create an uneasy listening experience. The dystopian image is completed by an extra layer of textures of bleeps, mechatronic noises, vocals and reeces. Dark but beautiful, melancholic yet relentless. An intense ride that is not for the faint hearted!

'Ambitions' creates tension from the top. Hard to pin-point it features ingredients from the whole spectrum: It has an atmospheric edge, but also includes cool ragga snippets, cowbells and energy raising effects. The tune bubbles along nicely until halfway in. Here Dominic once again proves his skills to find extraordinary samples that lift a tune to other spheres. This time it's drug lord George Jung who ponders '...Throughout my lifetime I've left pieces of my heart here and there. And now, there's almost not enough to stay alive. But I force a smile, knowing that my ambitions far exceeded my talent.' Then all hell breaks lose and the tune bursts into an unexpected full-on reecebass vs. amen tearout for the second half of the tune. A perfect bridge tune to hit people with an unexpected turn in your dj sets.

'Riddim [Come Again]' takes you into a Bladerunner-esque setting: Sweeping pads, late-night sax and sound-clash snippets introduce the tune until rumbling amens and a thumping subbass take it away into rugged territories. This unashamed riddim is certified heavy duty machinery - guaranteed to make jaws drop and turn every dance into a frenzy!

Waves crash against the shores, accompanied by a simple and melancholic xylophone melody. A peaceful atmosphere. A voice from the off asks 'To the future or to the past?' and a lush tune with female vocals and warm tuneful subbass unfolds upon us. Just when we feel all soothed George Orwell corrupts our daydream with a toast from 1949, that now - 73 years later - sadly is still a distant future - or 'A Future Passed'? 

'To a time when thought is free when men are different from one another and do not live alone - to a time when truth exists and what is done cannot be undone: From the age of uniformity, from the age of solitude, from the age of Big Brother, from the age of doublethink - greetings!'
