Imagine everything would look a lot more different and a lot more changed, a new side of life that we never faced.

A life where everything is inverted, colours, tastes, feelings.. Black would be white, bitter be sweet, sadness changes to happiness, chaos be peace, shadow would be light and the list can follow.

Everything could be strange and incomprehensible but then everything can be our own way.

How would it be having the same perception of shadow as the light, to have full consciousness of being safe in both. Shadow has its own sense of beauty, means dark, means unseeable which means mystery. All these are linked into one thing, acceptance! 

It is a mess illusion.

Der Spieltrieb ist verwandt mit der Lust, die gegenwärtige Realität zu vergessen und sich in erfundene Welten hineinzuversetzen. Wobei vor allem virtuelle Spiele eine große Faszination ausüben, da gerade Bilder ein mächtiges Instrument sind, um uns in Fantasiewelten zu entführen. Illusion und Virtualität haben die Menschen schon in ihren Bann gezogen, längst bevor wir die technischen Möglichkeiten dazu hatten. Das beweist ein simpler Trick den Johann von Kempelen 1770 angewandt hat. Er hat einen Menschen in einer Box unter einem Schachbrett versteckt, der Dank einfacher Mechanik die Figuren auf dem Spielfeld bewegt hat. Die Schachspielmaschine sorgte für großes Aufsehen und gab einen kleinen Vorgeschmack darauf, was die Spielwelt in Zukunft noch bereithalten sollte.
Es dauerte allerdings noch ein paar Jahre bis die ersten Ataris, Segas, Nintendos oder Playstations unsere Wohnzimmer eroberten. Heutzutage gehören sie wie selbstverständlich zu unserer Kultur und prägen unsere Kindheitserinnerungen. Videospielcharaktere sind die neuen Superhelden und erfüllen uns mit nostalgischen Emotionen. Oder gibt es jemanden bei dem Super Mario, Pikachu, Link, Tomb Raider und CO keine lebhaften Erinnerungen hervorrufen? Beispielwiese sollte der Begriff „Missingno“ bei vielen von euch eine Kettenreaktion im Kopf auflösen, die euch über Minuten mit Bildern und Gefühlen fesseln sollte ;) 
Die Jungs von Schallfeld haben ihrem Spieltrieb für uns nochmal freien Lauf gelassen und entführen euch in euer altes Kinderzimmer. Erlebt mit ihrer deep story nochmal die Zeit der Sitzsäcke, Röhrenfernseher und der alten Spielekonsolen. Ihr Set ist perfekt dafür geeignet sich nochmal für Stunden in fremden Welten zu verlieren.

Rolandson is Magician On Duty and process his thoughts & feelings about current influences on the basis of the political and social occurrences into that »Music has a Message« - Mix.

He is a traveler not a tourist. this traveler of tunes began his voyage in the mid 90s and has since explored the depths of 90s Berlin dub & techno, the electro swing revival in Paris/ France and Brighton/ England, downtempo and indigenous sounds from all over the world during his travels and discovering many more musical impulses that have shaped his life along the years. So in this his selections are always a highly curated combination of unique tracks that are timeless and that overcome the boundaries of genre, country, or context. 

When he’s not behind the decks, he’s the driving force behind his label and podcast series “Seasidetrip”, which he started in 2012 after recording a mix at sea. Since the first Seasidetrip mix, many artists have have interpreted their love and longing for the sea in their own mixes, contributing to the growth of this wonderful project which has not only touched the hearts of its listeners, but also led to many friendships and inspiring collaborations with other artists along the way.

Thomas and Julien are Dutch brothers from South of France. They propose either Hybrid DJ or live acts cutting from Jazz, House & Techno  mixing several genres while keeping this uplifting, dirty and groovy feel. 

Passionates in authentic sounds, they produce their music through field recordings. Their video concept "A Day In” translates cultures through field recordings and collaborations with local and traditional musicians. They already have concluded first collaborations with Gnawa musicians in Morocco, Huichol tribe musicians in Mexico, Icelandic choir, and musicians from Osaka, Bengalor, Fiji Island, Bangkok and more. 

With releases on Crosstown Rebels, DGTL, Sapiens, Bar 25 and their own imprint, Klassified Records, the two brothers also run the Klassified Studios, a co-creative space in Amsterdam.
