Sara Warner recently caught up with Brett Deubner, renowned viola soloist and professor of viola at the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College New York.

Brett, who is currently accepting scores through a Featured Recording Opportunity with PARMA, recently released MOTHER EARTH on Navona Records. He joined us to discuss the environmental themes and craft behind the album, along with the collaborative drive that led to this project with Latin GRAMMY-winner pianist Allison Brewster Franzetti.

Host Sara Warner recently caught up with American composer and pianist Jeffrey Jacob after his international sessions in the Czech Republic to learn about his experiences traveling for creative collaborations during the pandemic.

Jacob, who made the trek to Europe to record his Symphony No. 6 and other works with the Moravian Philharmonic, shared an inside look at navigating the current challenges of overseas travel, his sound advice to composers for attending sessions and generating exposure, anecdotes of exploring the Czech Republic, and the inspirations he gained from nature’s transcendent beauty in his latest project.
