Abhogi 2.0 - the more you uncover the hidden layers in this raga, the more arise! Bringing you my next IndianRaga music video, a sequel to Swara Sadhana, with Apoorva Deshpande once again. This time we ardently explored the eclectic raga of Abhogi, amalgamated both in Hindustani and Carnatic. Which part of this song stood out to you? Comment below!

Abhogi to me, is a striking raga, with the way it's carried in different styles of music. It's captivating and intoxicating, despite missing Pa, the 5th note which is the midpoint in the musical scale. The Carnatic composition is "Sabapathikku," written by Gopalakrishna Bharathi, in the Tamizh language. The Hindustani bandish is an original composition by Apoorva, adding beautifully to the rendition about an abstract divinity in music. The lyrics are deep, meaningful, and idolize an abstract version of a musical deity.

Heck, with his talent, he could have been the entire Beatles. And with his girth, he could have been the car as well.He can rhyme. He is the only man to have successfully rhymed with "Orange". "Hey my flower girl in orange-u, I am the right man in your range-u". He can also rhyme with "angst". "I am feeling full of angst, my tailor has badly stitched my panst". He has a degree, not in mass communication, but in self-promotion. He puts the BA in Bombast. TR is also occasionally angry and his anger channels his most creative self into the most stunning of expressions.
