We are already used to the fact that the highest quality progressive house music comes directly from Argentina. Christopher Erre and XirteM are in charge of the "Murmurations" EP, who together created two beautiful originals, where with remixes by Chihaka and Agustin Pietrocola, they make this release indispensable for all lovers of quality melodic music!

Staying in ‘The America’s’ for our next release, we head south, back to Buenos Aires, Argentina the South American nerve centre and heartbeat of Progressive House. 

There we are thrilled to welcome this next pair of artists to the onedotsixtwo family, Maximo Gambini & Q.A.T aka Leandro Maldonado.  These two very bright rising stars of the global progressive scene have been on fire of late with a string of remixes that have been getting regular plays on Hernan Cattaneo’s Resident show as well as his club and festival shows worldwide. This is their first original EP as a duo with both artists having had great success on labels such a Sound Avenue and One of a Kind. 

The lead track ‘Stochastic Process’ is a beautifully crafted melodic journey of sound that builds into a melancholic breakdown before the large drop, enough to make any dancefloor swing sideways. ‘One Sided Thoughts’ takes the path of a more hypnotic journey that weaves a softy gated vocal and smooth pads and effects with a whirring baseline that kicks like mule. 

On remix duties we welcome back long-time label afficionado Weird Sounding Dude who has applied his meticulous sound design to ‘Stochastic Process’ keeping true to the original whilst adding his signature sound, and Turkish artist Hakan Onuzur, who after a short musical hiatus is back in the studio, has a delivered an amazing interpretation of ‘One-Sided Thoughts’ showcasing to everyone, that he’s an artist who should be on your radar.

The experienced and talented artist Paul Thomas @djpaulthomas , comes to Univack for his first time, to present his 'Lumineux', an original track which is accompanied by one remix by Serious Dances and another one by Integral Bread.  Paul Thomas is one of the most important and influential people in the Progressive House scene for the last years, not only for his work as producer and Dj, but also for his work as owner in major labels like UV and UV Noir.  His style is very versatile, and we can find his productions in genres like Progressive House, Trance, Techno, Tech-House, among others, but this time with this 'Lumineux' we can discover his deepest and most organic house face.  The greek duet Serious Dancers @seriousdancers (Theofanis Rappas & Chrysanthos Kaslis) returns to Univack after the success of its 'Sabase Pahale', but this time as remixers, but also showing the particular and special style this duet has, where hypnotic melodies and vocals, sinuous rhythms, cinematic sounds and organic elements, are mixed to make you dance like in an ancient ritual.  Integral Bread @integralbread makes a peculiar remix of 'Lumineux', ussing a lot of original elements, but re-building them to get a different version, more Progressive, with his typical arps, hypnotic seqs, fat basses, and strong percusions. Successful artists in their own rights, Mariner + Domingo are a new artistic pairing to grace the Particles catalogues, now showcasing their "Azimuth" EP. With over two decades success in the dance music industry and several hundred production credits to their name, the duo joined forces in late 2019 leading to a Balkan Connection debut in July 2020 courtesy of the "Fantastic Playground" EP. Since then, music for such established imprints as Sound Avenue, The Purr and Stellar Fountain have continued to see the pair scale the heights of the underground dance scene. Now debuting on Particles, "Azimuth" sees Mariner + Domingo create a flowing organic house track characterised by intricate percussive groove, full of acoustic hits and woodblock delight. Building smoothly, joyous motifs float across the 6-minute piece as expertly balanced melodies and vocal phrasing play off each other, evolving effortlessly in symbiotic fashion as they reach their zenith in the latter stages. "Spirit Guide" continues the rhythmic narrative of the title track as a head-shaking groove and heavy beat quickly takes shape. A smooth bassline makes its presence felt as multi-layered pads and shimmering counterpoint melody provide the perfect accompaniment for a female vocal to meander across the track. A stripped back breakdown provides the opportunity for melodic elements to come together moving powerfully forward in the second half to create a summery organic house offering.

Juan Deminicis has been a regular on the Proton Music and Particles catalogues throughout a highly successful and impressive career. Always in the playlists of the DJ glitterati, a host of original work for Proton Music via the "Life on the Moon" and "Synchronicity" EPs, has been complemented by Particles editions including remixes from Gux Jimenez, Ejaz Ahmed and Lucas Rossi. Now returning with his own production material for the first time since debuting with "Outstanding" as part of the "Winter Particles 2012" compilation, the Juan Deminicis remix of "Azimuth" is a typically impressive reworking that captures the essence of the original while creating a swathe of additional production material that makes the track his own. A subterranean bassline and rich rhythmic groove provide the backdrop for new melodies to shine through as they glitter and shimmer against the vocal phrasing of the original, building in spine-tingling emotion into the third movement. The result is a very special interpretation.

Another artist with a strong Particles relationship, Rafa'EL debuted on the label with "Montessori" on the "Summer 2015" album. Since then, June 2018's "Twin Flames" and November 2019's "Floating Moments" have shone a bright light on the Polish artist's talent and creativity. Seeing that relationship grow stronger still, the Rafa'EL remix captures the essence of "Spirit Guide" while transforming the melodic themes present in the original into a delightful interpretation where a new piano motif sits perfectly against the shimmering phrasing and a pitched vocal variation of the original. An emotive string section makes a powerful statement at the breakdown before extending into the second half as rhythmic elements from Mariner + Domingo lilt delicately atop to create a wondrous groove. A powerful beat and sustained bassline complete the sonic collage in an expertly crafted interpretation.
